Have you ever seen that episode of The Simpsons where we get to see inside Homer’s closet, and it’s full of identical white shirts and blue pants? I’ve kinda always assumed that’s what Maria Brink’s closet looked like: just an endless row of those blue dresses.
Well, I guess the royalities from Beautiful Tragedy are really paying off, ’cause as you can see from the above photo of Maria and some other dudes who I think may also be in the band, she finally got a new dress!
The group has also posted a new song, “Forever,” on their MySpace page. It comes from their forthcoming album The Dream, which Century Media will release on September 30. To the band’s credit, “Forever” sounds nothing like the reheated metalcore that made up the majority of Beautiful Tragedy. Not so much to their credit, it sounds like reheated Nightwish instead.
Still, I give the band props for trying to branch out… in their sound and their wardrobe!

I can’t tell if it’s the new dress I like better, or her boobs. As far as the song goes, I’m glad they’ve decided to explore a new direction, but Maria’s voice really sounds like garbage on the new track. I’m not going to lie, as generic and rehashed as Beautiful Tragedy was, it was one of my guilty pleasures. This new album…I don’t think I’m going to like it at all.
Heres an interesting question: Why have the majority of us lonely, porn watching, girlfriendless metalheads, hell, even d00ds like me, with a real girlfriend and not just a toy vagina, been denined the chance to see girls like Ms. Brinks, Candice K., etc. naked? Im not talking anything dirty, like the two of them in a bukkake video, but like on Suicide Girls or something?

While I know I will surely catch hell for this…….I cannot wait for the new album to come out. Maria Brink is one of my favorite female vocalists and puts many male vocalists to shame. Should be a great album and better tour. Ok, now let the thrashing begin……
The dudes in the band are so starved for attention that the guy on the left is propositioning handjobs to anyone that can tear their gaze away from the metal britney spears.

The new song is better than pretty much everything on their last cd(which had 3 songs I liked), but I’m not really hearing the Nightwish influence. It sounds more like they went for the more metal side of metalcore and just had Maria sing instead of scream.
Not a bad song, not a great one. Definitely listenable I think tho.
And fucking hell who cares what she looks like.
CD name was “Beautiful Tragedy,” not “Beautiful Disease.” I only know this because you gave two different ones and I had to look it up on MusicBrainz, dick.

As someone who bought their first album and immediately regretted the decision, the new song definitely sounds better and much less generic.

Yeah…I know…it’s not nude so I disappointed half of you I’m sure by even posting this, but before today I had never seen her in anything but that blue dress, and now I’ve seen two new dresses in a single day! Maybe the handjobs dthrasher was talking about paid for her new wardrobe…
I saw her with my fiancee during the hottest chicks in metal tour. We met her after they got off stage. I don’t know what was hotter. Hugging her and getting her sweat on me, or seeing her sweat on my fiancee after they hugged.
All metalcore ripping aside, she put way more into her performance than Lacuna Coil.

Ehhh…you want a real female fronted metal band…just check out Made Out of Babies and for hot metal chicks, there is always Suicide Girls. This band is just terrible. Why is it that us metalheads let the girls get away with singing to metal, but when a dude does this we blast them. I say scream woman scream!!!
