SONIC SYNDICATE’S NEW VIDEO FOR “JACK OF DIAMONDS” HAS SOME HOT CHICKS IN THEIR UNDERWEAR, AND NOT MUCH ELSE GOING FOR IT

Sonic Syndicate, the Swedish band that sounds like an American band that sounds like a Swedish band, have released their new video, for the song “Jack of Diamonds.” And aside from a few huge chicks in their underoos (not the bass player, who is neither hot nor appears in her undies), there’s really not much of interest here.

Why isn’t pushing themselves to take shit to the next level? We’ve heard hundreds, if not thousands, of songs that sound more or less exactly like this, and there’s no way that could have escaped Sonic Syndicate’s attention. I guess they were just happy to be able to make a video with expensive cars in it.

Sonic Syndicate’s new album, Love and Other Disasters, comes out October 14.

    Sonic Syndicate is nothing more than Nuclear Blast trying to pull a Evanesence (or “Nightwishes in the linkin park” as i like to call them). “Wow, swedish riffs are taking over the world, all we have to do is mix it up with handsome “teens” and some catchy pop melodies and will be rich!!” It’s kind of scary to see a label of that size and experience are so far behind on what’s going on in the world of music.

    The bassist isn’t that horrible looking.
    About the video: when I saw the name of Patrick Ulleaus, I though “it couldn’t be that bad”. It is. What the fuck does that have to do with anything? It brings Charlie’s Angles 2 to mind, and that isn’t a compliment.
    I liked Sonic Syndicate song from the Nuclear Blast : Out Of The Dark album, but this is just plain bland. I agree with Blackthorned – they wanted to be Soilwork, but it didn’t really work out. It did work out on Out Of The Dark because Peter Wichers did the music there. But I guess they can’t replicate that on their own.

    Old atreyu was the first thing that came to mind. This song is medeocre in every sense–even soilwork aren’t this predictable. I still think that the Winds of Plague video is worse though :)

    I used to like their previous stuff (yes I know its mainstream catchy bullshit) and dear god this video was awful.

    Most similar bands only need one singer to make this horrible music, but these guys need 2? I bet thats how they view themselves as being different and unique from the 1000 other bands like this. But as for the Base player, i would eat her but dust.

    Their first album “Eden Fire” was quite decent modern MDM (released on Pivotal Rockordings). They then won a competition with Nuclear Blast, and really watered down their music, especially by adding a second vocalist to do the clean singing.
