EX-VADER GUITARIST: “I QUIT THE BAND TO CONCENTRATE ON MAKING AURAL DIARRHEA”

Vader recently lost one of their guitarists*, Mauser, who apparently split to concentrate on his other band, the horribly-monikered Unsun. Based on the songs on the band’s MySpace page, it would appear that this group is the eight trillionth pop-metal band with a female lead singer who is just okay-looking enough for crater-faced metal nerds to put in their spank bank. I don’t mind that kind of thing so much when we’re talking about, say, Christina Scabbia, mostly because I don’t find Lacuna Coil’s music annoying and because Scabbia is more than just okay-looking; but this band just sucks, the same way Nightwish just suck, the same way In This Moment just suck.

I’m sure Unsun have an album coming out or something, but I don’t give a fuck. Here’s a teaser for their new whatever-the-fuck they want you to purchase:

    woah, hold up. Mauser quit Vader? He was the man. He had chops. Technical feel. And great feeling, not just mindless scales and runs.

    And this shit? No, I AM using shit as a pejorative. This is EuroPop with guitars. Any loser can play these riffs. Fuck, this is a sad day. At least Nightwish used to play real riffs and had great leads. This…fuck this.

    From what I could hear of the song, it totally sucks donkey dick, dead, decaying donkey dick. Guess Mauser the next one to come out of the closet.

    Well, as far as I know Mauser didn’t quit Vader. I think that’s just a side project he started to keep his wife busy (she’s the singer in this piece of crap). Also, a while ago, I talked to Heinrich who plays bass here (also in some black metal band called Vesania) and he wasn’t ashamed to say that all they want to do is earn some real doe with this band and they all realize how crap this music is, but in Vader the only guy who gets any money is Peter. The rest of the band has to eat his garbage. Still I suppose they could go the hard way and do good music and good money.

    I started the first song. And it basically attacked me with riff ripped straight In Flames’ A Sense Of Purpous. And awful vocals. So I clicked the fourth. And I heard watered down Children of Bodom. And awful fucking vocals. The “vocalist” doesn’t sing very well (you can say that Nightwish singing isn’t exactly metal, but it at least has some merit) and the Polish accent is still audible (I can tell, I’m polish), but that doesn’t matter since the lyrics aren’t too good either.

    I normally wouldn’t comment on a topic like this, since I don’t listen to Vader…..but after seeing “Nightwish sucks”…..are you fucking serious? You jizz over some of the most generic, shitty deathcore out today, and call Nightwish a “shitty” band?

    Arguably the best well-recognized melodic/symphonic metal band out there today, and you call them “shitty”.

    I’m fucking glad I read this site for the guest blogs, not the mindless “zomg deathcore is so br00tal everyone should listen to these new trendy bands!” horseshit. Christ.

    You guys need a get a life with the bashing cause I bet no one likes your music anyway
    And I am a Vaders fan but Id help my wife out if she needed it

    Mauser had one of the funniest stage presences, more shaking his ass than headbanging on stage. I remember seeing them last time they toured the States and he didn’t seem to fit too well in the band.
