I have completely lost any and all interest in anything Metallica is up to (and nope – I’m not a Megadeth fan). This album is so out of touch with metal it’s dumbfounding. I find the riffs downright goofy and anyone that thinks “it’s the lost album between Justice & Black” is either taking mind altering drugs, or has never heard those albums.

I had a little respect for you at the start when talking about the downspiral of the last decade and whipping in classics lyrics to make a nice read…

But then you started crapping out of your mouth like a bitter Megadeath fan when reviewing the content of the album.

You should take Death Magnetic for what it is and don’t put it up against the 80s Metallica backdrop. Because everything loses and looks amateur against those albums.

Metallica died the day the black album came out. Fucking bunch of has-beens should just hang it up (or hang themseslves) for that matter! Ive heard the new album and it just doesnt cut it.

I personally like the new metallica album, I tried listening to the shortened tracks and the originals were much better. Definitely their strongest track on the record is All Nightmare Long, which despite the terrible title, is pretty aggressive and has a good edge to it.

I find myself listening to the album more and more at work and I think it is just such a change of pace from what we’ve been hearing it might require a few more listens to really appreciate.
