Lars' drumming sounds like a middle aged man trying to keep up with the Joey Jordison's of the world. James still has the most amazing voice in rock, but the song writing lacks. I will give them props for continuing to try something new though. If it were truly a record made just for the sake of going on tour it would be chalk full of radio friendly, power chord laden riffs, I wouldn't describe this as that. So an A for effort.
