LIGHT THIS CITY RELEASE SONG ABOUT TWO THINGS POSSIBLY FOUND IN SARAH PALIN’S VAGINA
Monday, September 15th, 2008 at 4:17pm by Axl Rosenberg“Sand and Snow,” the new song by Light this City, is currently streaming on the band’s MySpace.
The track comes off of Stormchaser, LTC’s new album that Prosthetic will release on November 11, in spite of the fact that the band has already broken up and, despite Dallas Coyle’s pleas, do not appear to be getting back together.
The cover art for the new album, which really seems more appropriate for Three Inches of Blood, can be seen above.
Oddly enough, this will be the second time this year that the hard workin’ people at Prosthetic have had to try and promote an album for a band that’s no longer together and therefore can’t tour or make videos or do press or whatever, after Byzantine’s Oblivion Beckons. But at least Byzantine were still together for like the first week that that album was out… maybe there’s some live footage of LTC that someone can cut together for Headbanger’s Ball or something?

I Lol’d!
I’m glad the album is coming out (even though I think the cover art sucks, but who really cares), I love Light This City and was bummed that they broke up.
So, who wants puke-green snowcones?
this is one of those bands that really should have chosen a different name
new album should be kickass, sucks they won’t get back together.
album art was done by the same guy that does the artwork for at the gates, dissection and emperor records (necrolord).
Laura is fine and the band is badass
OMG THE HEADLINE IS FUCKIN HILARIOUS!
LTC is good and Laura is a bonerfide frontwoman (’cause any chick that can scream like her and is that hot…)
but the song just sounds like all their other ones and it’s kinda stale. Their best song is the one with Trevor Strnad of BDM doing guest vocals.
fear of heights, ya i agree with bloodjunkie that was their best song. trevor fit perfectly in the mix, what a fucking great song.
the production on this one just sounds washed out or something. my main gripe is that the snare has that impotent thud to it. i mean all you have to do is listen to cradle for a king and it becomes immediately apparent what this new album is lacking, production wise.
It hasn’t caught my attention like some of their other material (ex cradle for a king) but i’ve only listened twice. not sure yet. Too bad they broke up
bite this clitty
this is shitty
i am witty
I try not to like metal bands with female frontwomen, as my first reaction is “this is just a gimic”, but these guys do genuinely rock. And they have good merch, that’s worth 2 bonus points.
