THE BEST METAL BIO EVER TO BE RAPPED

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008 at 3:13pm by

Ill Bill, a metal-rapper only slightly less ridiculous than Necro, created this “U.B.S. (Unauthorized Biography of Slayer),” which tells the story of the legendary thrash band… in hip-hop form. The upside is that if a more appropriate artist had done a musical bio of Slayer – say, Deicide – we probably wouldn’t be able to understand what was being said without the benefit of a lyric sheet, thus rendering the “bio” part pretty much irrelevant.

Speaking of Slayer, there’s still time to enter the MetalSucks Slayer Olympics and win a personally dedicated autographed copy of D.X. Ferris’ 33 1/3: Reign in Blood booK. SO GO ENTER ALREADY!!!

Like it or not, Ill Bill is a better rapper then Necro.

Like it or not, you probably won’t care.

The first two Necro albums are great, for what they are. His beats were so lo-fi and scary, but then he did the metal-production thing and kinda’ stunk it up.

Well, I’m glad he didn’t resort to any rap cliches like saying, “Yo” several times to start the song. Oh wait, he did.

Wow. Thanking God really applies to rapping about a band that is totally anti-religion.

    I liked it.
In fact, I found it rather..ill.

Well I love it, Im a Coka Nostra fan hence I like bill, pretty good album, I do like my hip hop separated from my metal… but I liked this one, Max Cavalera sings and plays guitar on another song, Howard Jones, HR and Darryl Jenifer from Bad Brains, and a buncha’ more Metal references. The cover was made by Larry Carroll, the dude that made a shitload of kickass Slayer covers including Reign in Blood.

It’s a thin line between suck and not suck but Ill Bill pulled it off in my opinion, and with the exception of this track all my fav songs are the ones that are more hip hop.
