POSSIBLY MY FAVORITE INTERVIEW OF THE YEAR THAT WE DIDN’T ACTUALLY CONDUCT OURSELVES
Wednesday, October 8th, 2008 at 2:00pm by Axl RosenbergMetal Injection just posted this video interivew with Guy Kozowyk from The Red Chord. Vince and I were standing just off-camera, obnoxiously watching the interview take place when we probably should have been minding our own business, and at the time, I thought it was one of the funniest, most honest interviews I’d seen recently; I’m glad to have now discovered that it holds up even if you’re not in the room. Guy is not only insanely entertaining, but he’s brutally honest in a way a lot metal musicians would never be – to wit, see his thoughts on Suicide Silence and deathcore in general. Even if you don’t agree with him, you gotta admit, this is some funny shit.
Also, clearly “The Panteradactyl” should be the hot new dance move in the mosh pit.
By the way, in case you’re somehow not in the know, Metal Injection has loads more cool interviews and live footage and lotsa other shit. Go visit them. It’s what all the cool kids are doing.

Rob, I have two words for you: biceps curls.
Check into it.
I laughed my ass off at “scratchy logo bands.”
That’s fucking hilarious, so true about the deathcore kids being wiggers as well!
I wish I had a dollar for every single time that this guy says “like”
Is it fucked up that I’ll probably enjoy my Red Chord album a little more now after knowing how cool the lead singer is?
You may enjoy them evvveen more after seeing this all-silly-non-serious interview: **CHEAP PLUG**

Best metal interview ever. I’m not even a big Red Chord fan.
Fucking hillarious but right on target!!!
Hilarious AND hot. I’d totally hit that boy. Twice.
Interview?
More like a monologue. Probably the best monologue of the year though.
Work on my BEWBS and get free stuff? Sounds like a plan. Except they’d be MEWBS.
Actually nevermind.
I met Guy @ Mayhem in West Palm…He made me feel guilty for buying $10 beers instead of their merchandise. That still didn’t keep me from getting a picture with him. A trully cool fucker.
this is by far my favorite metal injection video yet.
Certainly a great fucking interview. I wouldn’t kick him out of bed. And I will continue to support TRC with the confirmation that they are not tools. But seriously, I want an honest opinion of this: although I would totally have a brew with Guy and let him stay the night on my couch if he snores, does he seem like a “bro” to anyone else? He strikes me as kind of “bro-ish”. Maybe its just me.
That interview is just as advertised, GREAT!
I like The Red Chord because they don’t take the
whole metal thing too seriously and are actually
in on the joke. They have a reverence for metal
and put alot of work into their music, but can
bust out with the funny stuff at any second.
I’d like to see more bands like that!
It’s a great way to counter attack pretentious
douches like Sully Erna and his WAY SERIOUS band Godsmack.
“o.k. guys, now in this part of the show, I have to show off
that I can play drums too. So we’re going to have a second
drumset come out of the stage and then we’ll have a drum off!”
Either rock out and kick ass, or don’t.
Do give your stupid gimmickry!
[...] I knew Guy was a wrestling fan ’cause of that Metal Injection interview where he made reference to Koko B. Ware, who was always kinda lame but still insanely memorable [...]
