FORMER GN’R MEMBERS APPEAR IN TERRIBLE BANDS’ TERRIBLE VIDEOS

Gilby Clarke is in the new Fall Out Boy video. I have no fucking idea why. I’ve posted it below in case you care, although if you choose to watch, I’d recommend turning the sound off as soon as Gilby’s speaking part is over. Pretty funny to hear Clarke condemning the use of eyeliner on male rockstars, considering he was part of the glam scene and spent 2006 touring with Lukas Skunkhair or whatever his name was.

That would be random enough, but footage of Steven Adler (and other washed-up celebs) on VH1’s Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew has been included in the new Alter Bridge video. I wouldn’t turn the sound on at all for this one, because the song if so fucking awful I’d really expect to hear it in the trailer for the next feel-good woman’s movie starring Diane Lane and whichever post-menopausal closet case was available to film this week. Clip after the jump.

I actually really like Alter Bridge. They’re a solid rock band with a talented guitarist. The video is so-so

  2. Errol says:

Gotta agree on Alter Bridge too…but Creed were fuckin horrible.

  3. Sammy says:

I like Alter Bridge when they stay away from the soaring power ballads (which they do way too often). But Miles Kennedy is a fucking stunning guitarist and great singer and has pushed Tremonti to being an even better guitarist. Youtube Myles Kennedy sometime to see his early guitar hero antics.

lame video. alter bridge are pretty cool for a radio rock band though.

I really like Alter Bridge though I don’t like the video – great singer and guitarist. Friendly, down to earth people too. They’ve been picking up a loyal fanbase over here in the UK which is great to see – you see a pretty wide range of ages and music fan at their gigs here.

Not my kind of music by any stretch of the imagination, but I will give props to Fall Out Boy for having a sense of humor.

Vid actually made me chuckle a lil’ bit
