If you haven’t heard Warship yet, you best fix that glaring hole in your download collection right now. The New York-based duo features Francis Mark (vocals, drums) and Rob Lauritsen (guitar, bass) both formerly of From Autumn To Ashes, and the album was recorded and produced by Andrew Schneider (Pelican, Made Out Of Babies) this past summer. Warship’s sound is much different, and yes, heavier than their prior work with From Autumn to Ashes, though some of that band’s sound certainly remains intact here. Think Illusion of Safety / Artist in the Ambulance-era Thrice mixed with the raw, dissonant punk attack of a slightly toned-down Dillinger Escape Plan or Don The Reader.
And hey, guess what? We’ve got the exclusive free download of the entire Supply and Demand album — with their label’s blessing no less!

a) You wrote in the link: “Supply and Demand” album, but in that picture right there, the album looks like “Supply and Depend”– w/e, I’m just saying.
b) overall average IMO– i’m not a fan of the weird filtered screaming, but otherwise some pretty good stuff- yes a bit like DEP but i’m not a huge fan of them either… :(
This album is so good! I love it.
It’s good to see that some labels are becoming more open-minded about getting bands’ music out there by any means necessary. I dug From Autumn To Ashes, or at least a couple cd’s, and I like what I’m hearing here. Good lookin’ out fellas.
