This is a step UP. The worst part of Daath is gone. Replaced by a better one.

Sean Farber doesnt blow the new guy away. he wasnt even on any of their albums, he only served as a live vocalist. If you wanna compare the two, go look at youtube footage and its evident that theres no competition... Darren Cesca's drums are clearly fake... No I dont like shogun, trivium is gay.

lolol obviously hasn't listened to Arsis or watched the making of dvd. Drum Machine my ass.

Daath used to have a unique sound with interesting vocals and riffs. Now it's a watered down generic thrash band. Sean Farber blows this new singer guy away.

You all probably think Shogun is a good album too.

How is it a step down when youve only heard one song (which blows away anything theyve ever done)? And on top of that you call it generic?... lol, yet u praise the new Arsis album where the drums happen to be the most fake sounding drum machine ever... anyways, I hope starting your own religion is going well for you.

It's a step down from The Hinderers. Instead of making progress, they have regressed into a generic thrash band. Disappointing, considering how much promise Daath showed a year or two ago. It's lack of imagination is even further magnified compared to bands like Arsis or Gojira, who have both released quality albums this year.

I agree with Pesci.I like The Hinderers, but I was afraid the new Daath was going to fall flat.Sometimes, not often, but now and again, I absolutely love being wrong.

Hmmm. Not sure if I like the new track or not. Going to have to hear the full album.

I am a fan of their debut album Futility over the their label debut The Hinderers.

This sounds heavier and thrashier than they did on The Hinderers. I like it, glad to see they turned closer to thrash and death metal on this rather than to black metal orchestrations. The Hinderers was pretty good so I'll probably buy this to see how they've improved.

That "one track" wouldn't happen to be "Dead on the Dancefloor" would it?

'Meh', is kinda how I feel upon first listening to this track. Maybe a few more spins and I just might be able to wrap my head around it. The Hinderers was a pretty solid record though with only one track dragging it down.

Awesome. Daath is a great band. I got to meet them on Ozzfest 2007. I don't know if you can call it meeting them when it was just them in the signing booth but, I still count it.

Fun fact; "Dååth" is Hebrew for "Knowledge."
