SO WHAT THE HELL IS ANTHRAX UP TO ANYWAYS?
Monday, October 20th, 2008 at 10:53am by Vince NeilsteinLast night I had a dream in which a car full of people including Axl and I were headed to some big outdoor music festival. In typical dream fashion I’d forgotten that Anthrax would be on the bill, but upon remembering so — and furthermore that John Bush would be singing with the band — my balls started to tingle. I was excited; in dreamy-dream land, I’d never seen Anthrax! (in reality, I have). In dreamy-dream land, I’d never seen Anthrax with John Bush! (this is true). What an awesome festival this was going to be, indeed!
Then I woke up. At least there’s always YouTube. But I can keep dreaming for the day John Bush rejoins Anthrax.
Speaking of which, what the hell is Anthrax up to? Several months ago they were all over the webernet about recording in Chicago with new singer Dan Nelson. That was, like, six months ago. What up, dudes? Less cell-phone videos of Scott Ian and more music, plz ok thx!

find on the official Anthrax website:
I am here for an Update
here is what I know-
We have 13 Brand new Anthrax Songs, We have 4 (maybe 5) B-Sides. The B Sides will Be-
Brain of J- PJ
Big Eyes- Cheap Trick
New Noise- Refused
Running down a Dream- Petty
maybe an Anvil Cover- jackhammer??maybe an Alice cover- we Die Young?
The new Tunes are Very Strong. We have some Old School thrash and Some stuff that is like W.C.F.Y.A. meets S.O.W.N.
This record is Not Forced, it is a Very organic and Honest representation of Where we are as a Band and as Writers.
I hear many things nowadays that Sound forced, I ain’t digging that
There is a 6 minute tune Called “Down goes the Sun” , I believe it is one of my Favorite songs. The Music itself is Epic, it sends Chills up my Spine.
“Face with No Name”, “the Devil You Know”, “Earth On Hell” , All Killer. Worship Music should be out in May
We enter the Studio On Nov 4th, the Day that Change Comes, hahahahahahahahaha
GO VOTE!!
take this Country back from these thieves That put us in this Situation
Anyone Selling a Black Hybrid Escalade? I want one!
Love to All
Charlie
Anthrax is all over NONELOUDER with their ‘Cell Phone Videos…’ talking all about their new music, touring, etc.. pretty much on a daily basis. Don’t be jealous we gave him a cell phone Vince! He uses his computer for those videos anyway, haha.
Did you see the video of Scott Ian jamming with Vinnie Paul and Chad Gray? That’s music… he uploads live concert footage all the time. Ton’s of music, you’re just too busy making kissy-faces at Avenged Sevenfold!
Bush-era Anthrax is really underrated–I thought We’ve Come for You All was their best-ever CD. Hope the new one holds up.
creepy almost like they answered your dream directly! :-P

@Ben
I agree with you 100%. Bush-era Anthrax was the best and WCFYA was their best album ever. The way they dicked him around with the whole Joey reunion was BS.
I’m sure the new album will be well worth listening to even without John Bush.
I agree with enemyofgod72 and Ben.
Bush wasnt the main song writer on WCFYa album, Though i really doubt that Anthrax will match WCFYA standard with the new album but even if the new album is like 70% good as WCFYA, i will live with that.
I have my doubts about Mr. Nelson. I havent listen to any of his songs.
Anthrax is covering Brain of J by PJ ? thats a strange choice for a thrash band.
John Bush Does Buger King voice overs on their commercials now, good luck prying him away from that easy money.
Anthrax in the studio… check out http://www.anthrax.com to see videos
