ACE VENTURA, CANNIBAL CORPSE FAN

Where we falter, you guys are always there to pick us up; MetalSucks Maniac Kevin reminded us of the deleted scene from Ace Ventura in which our hero crowd surfs at a Cannibal Corpse show and goes on stage to sing with the band. Apparently Jim Carrey was a huge CC fan and insisted upon their inclusion in the movie, but unfortunately only a snippet of “Hammer Smash Face” made the final cut as background music. Here’s the full, deleted scene.

that’s awesome, its been a long time since i saw that scene but people are always surprised when ive mentioned that the band in that scene is cannibal corpse.

was thinking about that same scene as i watched the Will Smith video the other week. Great stuff. Hammer smashed face was the first cannibal corpse song i heard, as well as the heaviest thing i’d heard up to that point in my 12 year old existance. I once saw Jim carey on Leno or Letterman professing his love for Cannibal Corpse and all the is metal. Maybe someone can find that video!

yh i remebr seeing this film on tv when i was about 9 and thinking what the hell is this music?!!! The fact the film is so awsome is because of that 2 minute scene with hammer smashed face in it!!

Yeah I remember seeing that shit when I was 13 and being like…”that music is pretty cool”, and about three years later when I finally heard Tomb of the Mutilated it all came back to me. I was always asking myself “Who was that band in Ace Ventura? They were heavy as f__k!!”
