Is it too early to get excited about a tour that doesn’t even kick off ’til May? Not when the tour is Enslaved, Keep of Kalessin and Swallow the Sun. Truth be told, I’m not as familiar with KOK (say it aloud for a cheap giggle) as I oughta be, but Vince has been raving about them to me for months, and Enslaved and Swallow the Sun are both awesome. So, consider this the first tour of ‘09 that I’m already stoked about.

I saw Enslaved in Louisville at the end of 2007, and it was an amazing show. They’re an incredible live band. I’ll be buying tix for the May 29 show the first day they go on sale.

Who else will be at the Mokena show? And who else is going to see Swallow the Sun open for Soilwork in late February?
I am amazingly excited for this tour. Enslaved at Jaxx again! Keep Of Kalessin are also superb.
The first tour of ‘09 that you’re excited for? Have you not heard about the Pagan Knights tour (Tyr, Alestorm, Suidarka) or Kreator w/ Exodus, Belphegor, & Warbringer?
One of these days I am going to be able to afford driving or flying across Oregon to Portland to see a good show, untill then I’m stuck with Job For a Cowboy playing here every 2 months…
Yet another awesome tour where the closest show to me is in Houston. At least we got Opeth earlier this month.
