YOUR GUIDE TO A WEEK OF SERIOUS FUCK!

Friday, October 31st, 2008 at 11:16am by Gary Suarez

If you like noise rock and you live in or near New York City, the next week-and-a-half will melt your genitals clean off. You read right.

The molten manmeat madness starts on Sunday, when Harvey Milk headlines the (now Tombs-less) Beasts Of The East festival at Club Europa in Brooklyn. The event starts at 4PM and promises 12 hours of bowel-rumbling heaviness from Bison B.C., Wetnurse, and many many more. For those of you who fancy something more “classic”, later that night the legendary Touch & Go act Killdozer will be playing a reunion show (woot!) at Knitting Factory, with Bushwick rockers Awesome Color and disbanding weirdos Hunchback.

Mercifully, Satan will put down his cauterizing implements until Wednesday November 5, when Steve Austin’s Today Is The Day rides into town on a three-headed fire-breathing hellhound! (Check out the lengthy Metalsucks interview). That already misanthropic bill is bolstered by sinister southern sludgesmiths Weedeater and Amphetamine Reptile alums Love 666.

Two nights later (Friday November 7), The Dwarves will straddle your face (or what’s left of it) at Europa. Yeah, I’ve already written about this gig, but shit, man, it bears repeating.

Saturday the 5th and Sunday the 6th belong to Triclops!, that neato punk rock quartet signed to Jello Biafra’s Alternative Tentacles imprint that I can’t stop blabbing about. The Saturday gig is in Brooklyn at some place called 131 Topkins with Ho-Ag, This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb, and the aforementioned Hunchback. On Sunday, the guys stomp their merry way into Manhattan’s Cake Shop for a night with Ho-Ag and Last Year’s Model.

Tickets are still available for all of these shows (except the ones that don’t offer advance tickets), so stop being a big baby and eviscerate your junk already! It’s not like you need it for anything, you sad lonely virgin!

  1. Also, for you Austinites who live under rocks, Killdozer will be at FunFunFun Fest on Saturday the 8th, as well as Dead Milkmen!

And on Friday, catch fucking Keelhaul and Municipal Waste! Fuck your faces.

  2. [...] bodes well for noise rock enthusiasts following a robust year of notable reunions (Bailter Space, Killdozer!) and continues to see more such gigs this month from the likes [...]
