She’s not and neither are Creed. I agree that his vision and powerful early vocals made Led Zeppelin. His talent as a songwriter is indispensible. But by ’73 he was bringing the band down on the live act–listen to ‘Over the Hills and Far Away’ after ’73 and you’ll hear it’s actually played differently to compensate for Plant’s failing vocals. Jimmy took a lot of shit in ’75 for playing like crap with his finger injury, but Japan ’72 (September) was the beginning of the end for Plant.

If I paid the astronomical prices that Page, Plant, and Jones is gonna fetch, I wouldn’t want Plant to ruin it. I’d want someone who could actually hit the notes. Plant hasn’t been able to do it since 1973.
