    FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!
America just officially stepped into the 21st Century!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. matt says:

    america. fuck yeah.

  3. the Metal lizard says:

    Right fucking on!

  4. gum says:

I’m excited. Consider the implications for the metal community. The kind of culture that typically produces really awesome aggressive music is one where the average citizen is satisfied and has a relatively high quality of life (better financial situation, social freedom, wants are taken care of). If Obama brings about the kind of turn-around in America that people seem to hope he will, the country would be headed in that direction.

  5. CrapMcPoopin says:

I disagree gum. Some of the best music, especially aggressive music has come during periods of unrest, both socially and politically. Rock and Roll came during a time of fear during the 1950’s. Rock continued to evolve into both heavy and meaningful music during the wars of the next three decades thanks to the disenchanted youth’s support. Heavy metal and punk was born by disenchanted youths as well, and then thrived during the late 1970’s and 1980’s, which was marred by terrible choices in political figures. Look at the 1990’s which saw Bill Clinton as probably one of the better choices we have had in decades. Any good music in the 1990’s was only in the very beginning because it was left over angst from the Reagan years.

I’m not arguing against Obama changing the US around, which i think is great. I am arguing your statement that aggressive music is better when conditions of living are high, and citizens are happy. Ask Black Sabbath or Judas Priest if they were happy being poor industrial workers in England… or ask Lamb of God if they thought they would be as successful without Bush and the Republican party.

  6. Sammy says:

Obama gave one hell of a speech. And McCain’s concession speech was both eloquent and seemed heartfelt and gracious, even amid the f-sticks in the crowd trying to ruin it.

  7. Fuck Yes! Obama wins!

  8. some guy says:

This was such a tough decision for me. I ended up voting for McCain (for various reasons), but I’m not disappointed in this result at all. Content is a good way to describe my feelings right now.

  9. Harry Ballsagna says:

Agreeing with Mr. McPoopin’ here, though on the brighter side of creative unrest, there will always be an abundance of stupid people in the world to fuel our aggression and our art… let’s just wait and see what they do next!

  10. Matt says:

I’m not even a Yank and I am fucking chuffed to see Obama win, and so decsively. Awesome stuff, this will hopefully be a turning point for the entire world.

  11. van arseface says:

I give props to everyone who went out and voted, provided you made an informed decision. Democracy means shit when the populace is made up of sheep. Our system to function correctly, mandates intelligent thought on the part of the people. Let’s hope this symbolizes both change in our government and in our populace. The devil’s greatest trick was convincing the world he didn’t exist. The same happened to many of our voices over the last 8 years. Regardless of who you voted for today, your voice was heard.

Personally, I’m happy with the outcome. That said I still want to say this… FUCK THIS ELECTORAL COLLEGE BULLSHIT. I mean, it made sense in the 1800’s and all, but the beauty of our system is in it’s subjectivity to revision. It’s my humble opinion that it’s time to move onto a real popular vote.

  12. crapmcpoopin says:

Props to you van arseface. Destroy the electoral college, most of us are literate now… at least somewhat literate.

  13. ell says:

On behalf of the whole world: hell. fucking. yes.

  14. lern2swim says:

Can we get a subheading underneath “Hope” that says “…that he’s not as bad as every indication seems when looked at by any rational thinking person”?

  15. lern2swim says:

I’ll throw in a third for getting rid of the electoral college

  16. Stacey says:

Such a swift and sweet election day. No drama. America came out, did there thing and for the first time in many years, I must say I am damn proud to be an American today. Lets shout it from the rooftops.

  17. amy says:

hey everybody! we’re all gonna get LAID!

  18. Karrakk says:

oh hells yes. si se puede.

  19. Sam says:

    Congratulations everybody!!!!
We know live in a future eastern bloc-ish nation…
and after all those nations were freed from oppression from their governments they made some hella awesome black metal

  20. bucketochicken says:

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

    Congratulations everyone.

    We did it.

  21. Scott says:

Almost brought a tear to my eye when he said “Yes we can” the first time during his speech. Fuck yes.

  22. lern2swim says:

Sam, that would be absolutely hilarious if it weren’t so pathetically true.

“Welcome to the United Marxist States of America, where not only do we provide you with government cheese, we also provide you with your opinion”

  23. JimBob says:

Maybe you should actually read Marx, or indeed any book before you make humiliating statements like that.

  24. rob says:

He has inherited quite a mess, HOPE there isn’t too much pressure on the dude. Oh well, being Australian. And hating most things about America (metal not included, don’t be offended) I really HOP this is the turning point. I just HOPE no one tries to get him :s

  25. cpo says:

obama? i voted for john mclain. live free or die hard assholes

  26. joethecabdriver says:

As good for the country as this will be, I think it will be shit for metal. Metal does not do well when there is a liberal in office. It went through a down period during the 90’s, and I think the same thing will happen here. Metal thrives on doom and dispair, and the Bush years provided plenty of that, which gave much fodder to many metal band. Possibly, heroic power metal will continue to thrive, as it is very positive. Metal will never die, though, as long as there is agony and decay in the world.

  27. Mongo says:

This is a sad, sad day. We now will have one of THEM running shit. You know what I mean.

  28. Insomnivore says:

I’m still hoping he grows his Afro out to put the shits up Cleetus and Wanda.

  29. CW says:

Hey mongo fuck of back to graveland you cunt!

  30. Rob says:

Hell yes. Thank fucking god. I was up at 6 am to do my part to get that man in the White House.

    Also, a few quick notes:

    A) If you’re really upset that someone halfway decent got elected because you think it will be bad for music and art in general, get some better music to listen to and art to enjoy. It’s very sad to wish your country was in a worse spot so that your favorite bands would have some material. Good bands don’t need a shitty president just to get inspiration. There’s this crazy thing called real life which is fucking totally brutal. You should check it out, and apparently so should the bands you fear will suck now. People won’t stop being tortured to death in stale root cellars just because the economy is stronger and people buy hybrid cars. Metal will survive. Shit is still harsh.

    B) Mongo, if that was a racial comment, I’m hoping this will mean you will be moving to another country. I have heard so much of this “I ain’t gonna take no orders from no nigger” bullshit it makes me want to claw my fucking eyes out. You don’t want a black president? Move to Russia or some other all white, homogenized nation, and don’t come back. Then the rest of us will be able to enjoy our country without listening to your stupid bullshit. And if it wasn’t a racial comment (which you clearly intended to sound like it was), it’s still a valid point.

That being said, again, hell yes. Also, big ups to McCain for taking his loss like a gentleman, which I totally did not expect. After all the weird shit he tried to pull during the general election, he finally did something that reminded me why I used to respect him.

  31. Conor says:

@vanarseface: Yeah, everyone rips on the electoral college. I know Gore took a hit there and we’re all still aching from it (although smearing this Obalma all over myself certainly helps), but the electoral college makes sense.

Here it is in a nutshell: with a country our size, with our population density and distribution, a candidate could have a strong shot at winning the popular vote by campaigning in just a small handful of cities, because they’re heavily populated. That huge swath of middle America would be underrepresented.

If you hate the electoral college, then you hate our bicameral legislature, too.

  32. Damotello says:

It’s funny, considering Mongo’s comment, that mongo is slang for retard. I’m incredibly happy and relieved that he got in.

@Insomnivore – That would be a beautiful thing.

  33. lern2swim says:

Jimbob, studied marxist philosophy. Decided that, in my opinion, it will not work in the real world for any sustained period of time. I’m not saying we’re a marxist ideal following country at this point. I’m saying that, if, in my opinion, Obama could have his way, that’s where we’d be heading. I feel that Obama has very strong marxist beliefs. His policies and statements show this. I’m also not stating that marxist philosophy negates the possibility of democracy(marxism being an economic philosophy and democracy a political one), merely that when we take into account human nature, that’s where it leads. Hence my belief that it does not work in the real world.

Nothing humiliating about it. Sorry I didn’t fully explain my joking, sarcastic comment completely for you. So, why don’t you kindly suck a dick before you attempt to insult my literacy or intelligence again.

Again though, at this point this is all just a pissing contest. Let’s see where things go.

Rob, have you ever actually been to the US? Or do you just “[hate] most things about America” because you’re a stereotyping bigot? Also, I’m infinitely more offended by your hatred of America than I would be by you including metal in that statement.

Conor, that’s all true but a two pronged approach would be nice. Take the same idea behind the legislature and apply it to the electoral college and popular vote. More complicated? Yes. But I think it would also give a more even handed representation of things.

  34. Brutal Jay says:

I mourn for the future of America.

  35. bob fossil says:

Well done america, you got rid of the retard!

  36. canea says:

For once I feel proud of America.

  37. Retard says:

    RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISE! Again we will rise!

  38. To Brutal Jay: What does that mean? Are you making a political statement or a racist statement? Are you upset with the outcome?
Hopefully America makes some big changes over the years to come.
    Congrats everyone!

  39. noyokono says:

    YEAH THAT’S RIGHT MOTHERFUCKERS!

  40. Sacajawea says:

Well, neither one was very appealing to me. I really wanted to see Ron Paul be the Republican candidate way back. He had some very good ideas about how to deal with the Federal Reserve. If you don’t know why the federal reserve is a bad thing I would suggest some research. It’s quite interesting when the whole truth is revealed.

Anyways, I suppose Obama is slightly better than McCain. By a small margin.

  41. Matt says:

Not just in America, but all over the world people are celebrating this historic event. A national holiday was declared in Kenya, Japan had people dancing in the streets, people were cheering in Israel.

America has finally lived up to it’s principle of equality for all. We will once again be respected in the world. Science and the arts will flourish. Yes, we’ll have tough times and the issues of our time are not gonna go away overnight or maybe ven in one term, but now we have hope.

It’s a great day to be an American. Fuck, it’s a great day to be alive on this day of global celebration

  42. Joel says:

Haha I go to a conservative christian college and everyone’s moping around and shit. It’s fucking hilarious. But yes, even though I tend to stand for free markets and less government participation I think it is more important for us to have a competent leader right now that can mend our horribly mutilated world image and unite americans toward change. Hmm… sounds like I pasted that from his campaign website. Maybe now the world will stop hating us.

  43. tyler09 says:

ok neither of the candidates was the best choice i personally thin Romney should have gotten it or huckabee. But congrats to Joe Biden cuz hes going to be inaugurated.

  44. jonowev says:

Afraid i’m pretty right-wing so i’m gonna have to disagree with this particular post, Metalsucks…

  45. David says:

I can’t speak for all of Texas but I’m fucking happy about the outlook of the next 4 years.

  46. bucketochicken says:

    @ Rob: 1,000

  47. Mike Malice says:

We’ll see if all those far righters mope when their children can afford college, health care, and aren’t being killed in meaningless wars.

I think any person who understands the concept of investment knows that if you invest in the middle class the economy will thrive rather than letting the rich stay rich and the poor get poorer.

I think its funny how Obama’s main constituency was among the educated and McCain’s main constituency was the opposite, I guess those mindless sheeps tend to be Republican, fancy that!

    Anyways, Congratulations Obama/Biden!

Maybe now we won’t be living in an ignorant hatefull country.

  48. jonowev says:

@ Mike Malice: Some parts of your country will always be, as you put it, ‘ignorant and hatefull’. Just because you’ve elected a Democrat doesnt mean that the many millions of right-wingers in your country will be quashed.

  49. SK says:

Get rid of the electoral college, while your at it get rid of the federal reserve, the IRS, the CIA.
Its six one way and half a dozen the other. Another smooth talkin fiqure head for the slick big money machine. Its always cool to make history , but Im way to detached now…It always seems like a scam and never HONEST. Im speakin about both scum partys.

  50. Sean says:

    YES WE CAN!

It’s too bad not everyone can realize the significance of this historic election, but it seems like the majority of people do. The thing that I find odd is that this is a metal blog, and I assume it’s frequented by metal fans. I can’t see how you can be a fan of metal AND a Republican. Almost all of the bands that I can think of in the metal scene are Democratically-oriented. If anyone can think of a right-wing metal band(that doesn’t suck) let me know.

  51. vman says:

anyone who thinks their lives can somehow become better based on a democrat (or republican) being in the white house, wake the F up.

If you want your life to improve, go and do something about it, stop expecting handouts.

  52. Ninja says:

As a woman of color and a child of immigrants, I am overjoyed at the prospect that I can tell my future kids, “ANYTHING is possible for you.”

Hearing my dad, who worked for the US Army for 20 years, say that this particular moment reminded him and reinforced to an expontential degree why he left his family and his homeland and came to this country in the first place, made me incredibly proud to be an American.

  53. Revrant says:

Sammy: They were such fucksticks, I found his speech wonderful and yet it’s marred by yet more racism and bullshit, can’t you just shut the fuck up and let the man be decent? Are you that hateful and ignorant?

The Marxist shit, well, fuck you, my aunt didn’t die at the hands of a greedy corporate system in vain now, we’ll have something to keep the malignant health care system in check, and I won’t lose, and almost lose, any more relatives due to their malice and even apathy.

That was my main concern, and I feel relieved.

  54. crapmcpoopin says:

@ Rob: You obviously missed the point my friend. I was simply criticizing a previous poster’s ridiculous comment that heavy music is always better when the quality of life is high, population is happy etc. I wasn’t, nor was anyone else who commented similarly, saying we wished that the economy or the nation would be in a poor condition so our “music or art” as you said would be better. I have decades of metal, punk, and rock to listen to. The point i was making is that his comment was grossly false and actually made him seem rather ignorant to the social context that lies within heavy metal and aggressive music.

  55. PD says:

As far I am concerned with the couple of people making racist comments, it’s those kind of people who are the reason why our country is still as f-ed up as it is. Look at a person for their character, not color.

I couldn’t bring myself to support either of the 2 major candidates after watching 5 minutes of their pre-written GARBAGE responses to questions which they didn’t even answer. What ever happened to thinking? But I am somewhat glad Obama won (not surprised) because maybe now Americans will just be Americans, not African Americans or Asian Americans or however you wish to label people.

  56. Johnny Death says:

I spoke with a elderly man about 1 month prior to today. What he had to say about Obama was:

“I’ve heard this Obama guy is going to fix all our economic problems and bring about change, either that or he will n***r-rig it!”.

I wish obama the best of luck, he has his hands full.

  57. Johnny Ringo says:

    MEDIOCRITY REIGNS!

    SOCIALISM! FUCK YEAH!

if you voted for obama your a racist

  58. dvmetallica says:

    who’s barack obama?

  59. iron mayden says:

“anyone who thinks their lives can somehow become better based on a democrat (or republican) being in the white house, wake the F up.

If you want your life to improve, go and do something about it, stop expecting handouts.”

That’s exactly right. Things are not going to be much different under Obama. Why? because he’s still a Politican. People tend to forget that.

  60. Jesse says:

Well this is bad news for people that don’t like hearing Dallas talk about politics. I think we all know what this week’s blog will be about lol.

And a big FUCK YES in the Obama winning category. Things aren’t just going to change overnight, but god damn will it be nice to watch a president be something other than a puppet. This will be a huge contrast from Bush to say the least.

  61. Gravy says:

I’m glad all this shit is over, regardless………… Change for the better.. hopefully!

    Rock on Obama!

  62. DemonicLemming says:

Fuck. I don’t like either candidate, but now I get to lose even more of my fucking paycheck for “income redistribution”.

I guess after 4 years, the Obama nutswingers won’t be Obama nutswingers any more after taxes go up, the middle class gets hit with commie welfare bullshit, and we’re sitting down to peace talks with the fucking terrorists who attacked us on 9/11 and are just salivating at lulling us into a sense of peace to nail us again.

We were fucked either way, but we’re fucked harder this way. And I love how the picture in this thread follows the Che Guevara poster bit. Cuz I sure as hell want to think of Che and what he stood for when I think of the new president.

  63. ClosetMetalHead says:

This picture would be more metal with Obama in corpse paint throwing the horns.

  64. Vlad says:

    Godspeed you black emperor…

  65. Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone sums up the people who fear an Obama presidency in the latest edition of the magazine (RS#1065):

“We were all educated in this culture of blame-the-other-sap, and that’s why we Americans are always whining about getting jobbed by someone: the media, Hollywood, Big Tobacco, anybody. But this year, the more the other side whined and pointed fingers, the higher Obama’s star climbed. It’s reassuring to see that someone in this country is finally doing some growing up.”

  66. nigga please says:

    “Godspeed you black emperor…”

OMG. Now THATS a fucking comment.

All other comments on this website are now rendered null by this. Which I will now immediately steal and not credit you for.

  67. DemonicLemming says:

Rolling Stone…yep, that’s definitely an unbiased source of information. Obama’s side really grew up with all the shit they threw at Palin, regardless of whether she was actually deserving of it.

Both sides threw plenty of mud this go-round, and that comment from Rolling Stone is so patently false as to almost be humourous.

  68. What exactly did Obama’s side throw at Palin? She was consistently handled with kid gloves by Obama and Joe Biden. I guess it was that mean old media. Which, of course, goes right to what Taibbi was saying — people always whine about somebody else picking on them. Instead, people need to accept when they fuck up, admit it, move on, and grow up.

  69. dakota says:

i don’t think we should get rid of the electoral college, i think that’s silly.

if we went by popular vote, the politicians would spend time only in places that are ridiculously populated and that’d suck for the small states. also, it takes some wacky circumstances for the popular vote to be won by a candidate and not the electoral college, but the election of 2000 was the definition of wacky and gore may have won.

basically, on the surface, getting rid of the electoral college sounds like a good idea. however, while its flawed, it does a great job of regulating where politicians and campaigns spend time, and pushes them to focus on issues concerning the entire electorate rather than the ones concerning those in the populate areas.

  70. bierfaht says:

last i checked, swedes pay like 60% of their income to the govt, and have many socialized programs, but they do produce some amazing metal

  71. tony says:

    fuck obama

    there,
    i said it
    fuck him

  72. Eddie says:

My faith in this country was renewed when I watched him speak in Chicago. This truly is our time.

  73. enemyofgod72 says:

    @DemonicLemming
“Fuck. I don’t like either candidate, but now I get to lose even more of my fucking paycheck for “income redistribution”.

You seriously need to stop watching FOX News and listening to Rush Dumbo. If you actually believe that BS you obviously weren’t paying attention. Anyone in this country making less than $250K/yr has no business being a republican. They are not on your side. I’m 35, republicans have ruled for 23 of those years. On the same salary I make today my father was able to own a home and raise 3 children, there is no way I could provide that today. Why? “Reaganomics” otherwise known as trickle down theory has destroyed the middle class and created increased poverty. As it turns out when you let rich people keep more of the money, they don’t invest it and share it, they just keep it. I don’t blame rich people for that I would do the same, so it’s left to government to create equality. Does it make more sense for someone to keep a billion dollars in the bank or for our government to tax that billion at a couple more percentage points so that we can all receive healthcare? The answer seems obvious to me but I’m sure you’ll disagree. But as they say, “ignorance is bliss”.

  74. Devin says:

    FUCK OBAMA. FUCK DEMOCRATS.

LIBERTARIANS ALL THE GOD DAMN WAY.

  75. Leprosy says:

ALL WHITE PEOPLE ARE REPORTED TO GO TO THE NEAREST COTTON FIELD TOMORROW AT 7AM FOR ORIENTATION

  76. DemonicLemming says:

@enemyofgod – No, actually, that comes DIRECTLY from a statement Obama made. I don’t watch Fox anyway, so your asinine, from-the-hip assumption is completely and absolutely false.

Hey, bub, here’s a clue – NONE of the politicians are on the side of people making under $250k a year, if you want to set an arbitrary number. My mostly blue-collar family has been screwed over by just about every president, regardless of political affiliation, so you’ll excuse me if I turn a bit of a jaded eye to your statement.

I’m strongly against trickle-down ecomomics, but I’m as strongly against income redistribution also. It’s an absolute bullshit policy. Why should I work 40 to 60 hours a week just to have a bunch of lazy motherfuckers who can’t be bothered to get off their asses and work take my money, that I worked for, and live off of? I seriously doubt my family back home, which is solidly lower-middle-class blue collar, will EVER see ANY of that “income redistribution.” It’s not gonna happen. The money will go, just like welfare does, to the lowest tier of absolute worthless pieces of shit in society.

The government has no fucking place “creating equality” in the finances of the people it serves. The current measures in place are already fucked up enough and hurt the middle class as it is, so why in the flying fuck would anyone in the middle class be for Obama’s “give money to people who don’t feel like working for it” plan? And fuck government-provided healthcare, too. No one’s got a “right” to that, especially not if I have to pay for their fucking hospital visits for headaches, toothaches, and stubbed toes. Read a bit up on why the healthcare situation is what it is, and maybe you’d know why people educated on the subject are totally against it. Hell, just look at Canada – they have government mandated socialist healthcare, and THEY COME TO THE UNITED STATES FOR TREATMENT. Why? Because there’s no fucking quality control in a system where ability goes out the window and people have to wait MONTHS for critical surgeries. Guess what? Just like any other fucking profession, the better doctors are going to cost more, same as a goddamn BMW costs more than a Suzuki. Why bother with being a good doctor if you get paid the exact same amount as being a worthless piece of shit doctor? Socialism tosses all personal responsibility and desire to succeed out the window in order to allow the lowest fucking classes of society their comforts.

And don’t come off with this holier-than-thou I’m smart and you’re stupid bullshit. It’s fucking pathetic. If my opinion differs from yours, fine, but to make a statement that someone is ignorant simply because they don’t follow your fucking thoughts on things is what’s created the whole fucking partisan strife bullshit to start with.

  77. dalenkwint says:

    lol @ working class republicans

  78. lern2swim says:

Demonic, now, stop with all that common sense. Of course there’s tons of holes in socialist philosophy if you look at it in real world situations. Luckily we don’t live in the real world…. right?

  79. DemonicLemming says:

@ Mitchell – if you’re talking strictly Obama and Biden, the only particular things that spring to mind (and this coming from someone who didn’t watch any of the major candidates besides Ron Paul give speeches) was the “lipstick on a pig” comment.

However, if you’re talking the Obama side as a group, which I am, there’s absolutely no way to deny she was raked over the coals way more than is even acceptable in a presidential election. Just look how the media handled her, ignoring all political groups. It was fucking disgusting. She’s not that smart, but fuck, neither was Al Gore and nothing like what happened to Palin ever happen to him, even after his made-up global warming bullshit.

  80. LOLlercaust says:

    ROFLMAO
    ok ok enough Demonic,
    I can’t stop laughing.
oh jesus, i have not had a laugh like that in a good amount of time…

  81. CW says:

They should just tax the hell out of your petrol like all us poor limey british bastards.
Fucking lauged my ass off reading quotes from some texans about not voting democrat because of tax increases from proposed government spending, Yeeeaaahhh thats why your not voting democrat, nothing to do with guns, abortions and the “good” old days at all. God forbid he may create something like a national health care service or some other socialist marxist satanic bullshit! I think i just wore out my sarcasm gland.

  82. Yeah, that Katie Couric is a beast! Makes Kim jong-Il, Vladimir Putin, and Osama bin Laden look like pussycats.

  83. Mike Malice says:

@Demonic: You seem to carry a common republican trait which is “I don’t care about anyone but me”. Unfortunately this is not the way America has become as successful as we are and does support a trickle down method that in the end hurts everybody. I’m not saying either plan is perfect, but the ideal behind both is mostly hurt by the freedom of private companies to be as greedy as they want and to punish the consumer when they feel wronged.

    http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/issues/HealthCareFullPlan.pdf
    http://www.johnmccain.com/content/default.aspx?guid=8475c713-a541-4b97-a2aa-800e35da37bb

Personally I find these to be self explanatory, but I’m going to summarize a few things that I find in a comparison.

Neither plan says anything about handing out insurance to some welfare person sitting on their ass not getting a job. As I see it Barack Obama’s plan centers on two major ideas.

    1) The cost of health care could be severely reduced by simply eliminating unnecessary overhead. By making healthcare more streamlined and eliminating waste and other costs health care providers in turn would see a larger savings and could pass those savings along.

    2) EMPLOYERS would be required to provide either: a) A health insurance plan of their choosing that met minimum requirements, or b) a pooled health insurance plan similar to the one used by government employees. This pool wouldn’t be a handout to anybody besides uninsured children (who in my opinion deserve healthcare). The pool would simply reduce the cost of healthcare to ALL and in turn allow more people to become insured.

With your BMW/Suzuki approach, consider this…Suzuki has a focus to make their vehicle available to a large range of consumers, which allows them to keep a low cost product. BMW doesn’t need the kind of volume because it focuses most of its sales on a small and wealthy target market. The rest of us can’t afford BMW’s.

Now for those families who are uneligable or cannot afford this pooled health insurance they will receive a TAX CREDIT. Sounds similar to the McCain plan only its on a more reasonable scale that will benefit those who truly need it.

And since you are so concerned with healthcare quality you should know that McCain wants insurance to be able to be obtained across state lines. This again means that Joe McRichrich can buy an extensively nice health insurance plan from California and while all the Joe’s out there do that the rest of us are shafted on coverages because the less attractive plan in state is now losing all of its business to other states.

Really a synopsis is that John McCain’s plan puts the responsibility for health care on the private market, the same private market that has put us in our current predicaments. Insurance Providers and Pharmaceuticals are enjoying record profit along with Oil companies, all because we let them do what they wanted. Unfortunately the rest of us are still paying rediculous sums of money for prescriptions, insurance, gas, etc. Oh and private market, so far its been great for the mortgage industry.

President Obama’s plan allows for the market to provide health insurance as necessary but it sets a standard of conduct and a minimum requirement for employers while providing tax credits to those who need it.

Think of it, if MORE people buy health insurance, it means the companies can lower premiums for the entire group.

On a side note, I think the major thing that was great about this election is that MOST people voted for character, and like myself didn’t even care what Obama’s ethnic background or race was. Republicans were too busy trying to make people fear him through ignorant rants that he’s a terrorist. They also say he’s a muslim despite it not being true, and if he was a muslim…it DOESN’T MAKE HIM A TERRORIST! Wow what an epiphony.

As I said in the above post, McCain’s main constituency was uneducated people and old people, most of which are also uneducated.

Glad that America was able to see past the republicans’ childish games and elect a real president for once!

Does anyone realize that the election is over now? Obama’s President. I didn’t vote for him, but we should give him the benefit of the doubt. Only time will tell if he’s doing the right things for our country. The rest is just needless speculation at this point.

Those of you that voted for Obama will regret your decision very soon. Be prepared to be taxed (regardless of the BS stories out there, YOU will), be prepared to take home less money because of that, and the fact that the business you work for will also incur more taxes, which means you will either have to take a pay cut, or be let go altogether as your employer will no longer be able to afford your services. Give yourselves a pat on the back for voting in the Anti-Christ.

Finally a smart post, kudos Mike, Spence, you’re as stupid a piece of shit as you ever were.

Demonic and lern, you are both disgustingly selfish, why don’t you try living without health care you fucking hypocrites? I do, and I have a job, can’t fucking afford it, how about you stop being worthless piles of “supposedly” middle-class blue collar folks and try living on that “worthless” rung? Oh? No? Too comfortable? Happy sitting at the top bitching about how you want more money and things and you hate people who need help? Sorry, didn’t know.

You’re a shit sandwich Demonic, and I applaud anyone who chooses not to take a bite and ignores you, because you’re one of those shit-cakes who’s so incredibly selfish, and worse, educated, that you actually hurt the system by being in it, instead of being a malignant, ignorant pustule, no, you know full well how the system helps people who are fucked by the private sector which rules society, and you want to stop it. You’re Texas to the rest of the world that has a fucking heart, and Gosh, I can’t recall what sect of corporate society rules Texas with an iron fist.

Please do us all a favor and leave the country, try living somewhere less fortunate, and then come back and bitch about “Boo hoo my taxes are ever so slightly higher so we can have a health care system equal to that of a poor country instead of one of the worst in the world”, you do that.

  88. [...] United States has a brilliant new President in Mr. Barack Obama, and here we are debating whether or not Christians can make tr00 black metal. What can I say? Here [...]

All of u homos that typed more than a sentence have no live; Furthermore Obama is a stupid nigger

  90. Mike says:

Holy crap. Most of you on here don’t know what the hell you were even voting for. You were voting for a rock star. You think that your life is going to somehow be easier now? Think again. Get ready to have government intrude into your life like never before. If you don’t mind part of the money that you have worked hard for, going to welfare losers, then you made a good choice.

No one knows a damn thing about this guy. He was never given a hard question by the liberal press. He was treated with kid gloves all along the way. He was basically “appointed” president by the media and by Hollywood and all you sheep just went right along with it.

Have fun with your “Messiah.” Let’s see how he handles the pressure when the Taliban tries his ass.
