I hope the version I downloaded wasn’t the final mix because I’m not liking what I’m hearing. Other than that, I can’t stop listening to this album.

That’s some grade A journalism Axl.

An apt description as you’ll ever come by, The Faceless/Chopping Mall/ice cream trucks kick ass.

This review has made me unbelievably excited for their new album.

  • Dr J

    Excellent review.

But does the production sound flat to anyone else?

  • cornblood

I’m definitely checking out this record now.

There’s far better tech-death out there…Severed Savior’s new record for one.

I got my copy Saturday with the preorder and I have to say the album was a teeny bit disappointing. Primary problem, it’s only half an hour long! EP length! And the production could be improved. Otherwise, songs are great. So, 4 out of 5.

  • Gamma Sperm

vocals sounded sort of drowned out in the mix… not sure if thats what they were going for.

thats my only gripe otherwise v. solid

    agree 4.5

hahaha what an awesome review. I love it.
But yeah this album a) is awesomely amazingly awesome filled with amazing awesomeness b) produced poorly. Who ever produced it fell mightily short on this one but that seems to be whats “in” in production haha

  • 36Thoughtless

I’m not hearing the problems with the production everyone’s referring to: I love everything about the album, although it is a little short.

  • Malacoda

Ok, I take back my review. The production grows on you. (BTW for those asking, it was produced by the guitarist of the Faceless in his studio). Everything is fantastic except the length, 32 minutes.
