Though I don’t mean to shit on this really cool interview from a musician I highly respect, as a former resident of Scandinavia I can tell you that the caution regarding pedestrians may be out of respect but more likely it has something to do with the massive applicable fines for traffic violations in countries like Norway. We’re talking up to thousands of dollars here, hell even the fine for public urination in my town was several hundreds of dollars.

Things work differently in Europe but it’s not always as idealized as a lot of North Americans (or even other Europeans) imagine it. That being said, Norway has an incredibly efficient domestic recycling and composting systems and despite being Oil-rich up the ass the majority of the energy used by the nation is hydroelectric.
