ONCE UPON A TIME WHEN OZZY WAS ACTUALLY SCARY

Before Ozzy was a bumbling idiot of a TV family man and way before he was a Samsung phone salesman, there was a time and place where parents would actually keep their children home from going to see the Ozzman play. Our pals at Metal Injection unearthed an interview with (short-haired!) Ozzy from 1982, shortly after the infamous bat head-biting incident, in which the Prince of Darkness candidly opens up about what it was like for him to be the wrath of public ire, among several other juicy, classic Ozzy quotes. This is the Ozzy we all know and love.

    I don’t know what’s scary about this interview. I find it to be quite sad. Ozzy claims to have quit drugs but can handle drinking. As we all know, he wouldn’t quit coke until 86 and still struggles with alcoholism to this day.
