SOUTH (PARK) OF HEAVEN

Generally, I consider myself a pretty avid fan of South Park – the mixture of completely sophomoric humor and social satires gets me every damn time. But this season has been kinda weak – short of Indiana Jones getting raped by Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, I don’t think I’ve laughed out loud once.

So now I’d like to remember a better time, when a weekly episode of South Park was something to really look forward to. This clip comes from an episode entitled “Die, Hippies, Die.” If you’re not familiar with the episode, well, I’m sure you can see where this clip is headed…

don’t know what kinda crack you’re smoking but this season’s been classic. guinea pirate anyone?

  2. Fink says:

I’m gonna have to agree with slice two. The guinea things were hilarious.

Celebrate good Obama, come on! (It’s Obama, Obama.)

Are you kidding? the new season is great! The Pandemic episodes were hilarious. I……AM….SO……..Startled!

So was the last one about the election. I was laughing my ass off because they pretty much hit the nail on the head with the Obama/McCain supporters. It was nice to step back and laugh at the election.

I am pretty happy about the new season so far.

I’d be hard pressed to call this season the best ever or anything, but Randy Marsh celebrating the Obama win is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long ass time.

Without Timmy, I can’t endorse the new South Park as being as good as the old stuff.

    TIMMAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  6. Wayne says:

    Yeah, where did Timmy go?

    Or Jimmy for that matter?

South Park is like the Simpsons and Family Guy. Even if the episodes are weak, they are a joy to watch because it is the same show with the same conventions. We have become trained to be ok with a few bad episodes as long as the experience of watching the show is enjoyable.

    I love that episode.

I also think this season has been pretty damn good so far. The cheezing episode (pretty sure from the current season) is amazing and will be a classic.

The episode you mentioned is hilarious though.

Don’t forget the season is broken up into two segments, so episodes like “Major Boobage” and the Brittany Spears episode are still season 12. The Heavy Metal scenes in Major boobage are classic!

I’ll have to agree. I love any episode where Randy gets drunk but even the election episode was kind of boring. They’re relying wayyyy too much on movie parodies these days.

I agree with you when it comes to this season 100 dude. I get a really sad look on my face when its over and I can’t even make an excuse for why the episode sucked. Any episode that revolves around Randy is destined to be a classic. They need more Randy. Tonights episode was pretty good. Maybe its because I’m a fucking douche and have seen all of the HSM movies. And I’m 23. And clearly and asshole. But yeah, I can’t force the laughing anymore this season. If its gonna come, its gonna come. Thats what she said.

My favorite episode of this season still has to be when Mr Garrison grew a new penis on a mouse. How can a singing-penis/mouse not be funny? Then to top it off with all the “cheating” Patroits/Bill Belichick stuff was great.
