ROCK BAND METAL BAND

First thing’s first: Axl and I are going to see AC fucking DC at Madison Square fucking Garden tonight. HOLY SHIT! Big thanks to the folks who hooked us up with tickets; you know who you are!
AC/DC also happens to have just released their own Rock Band “Track Pack,” a standalone video game available for around $40 featuring AC/DC’s legendary 1991 Live at Donington concert. This pretty much seals the deal for Rock Band as the instrument-based video game of choice for metalheads and hard rock fans; the list of available full albums already includes Judas Priest’s Screaming for Vengeance, Megadeth’s Peace Sells… but Who’s Buying?, Rush’s Moving Pictures and Dr. Feelgood by Mötley Crüe. They’ve only got one Metallica song (“Enter Sandman”), but we’ll overlook that for now.
If we get a gaming system for the MetalSucks Mansion I’d definitely go for Rock Band, if only because playing the drums is so fucking fun. But we’d have to place a moratorium on drunk girls singing, because this is always, always annoying.

There’s a few Metallica songs actually. Rock Band 2 comes with Battery and you can also get …And Justice For All, Ride The Lightning and Blackened too.
Have fun tonight! You guys are in for a treat.
Who’s Ben? Anyway, Guitar Hero: World Tour now offers mic and drumming options as well.
Ben?
Metallica actually signed a deal with Guitar Hero. They are going to be releasing a Guitar Hero: Metallica game sometime early next year. Check this out: http://kotaku.com/5083670/wanna-test-guitar-hero-metallica
As grating as the sound of a drunk chick singing is the guy who gets way to into it and fully believes he sounds just like whatever song he’s going through is worse and kinda depressing.
Overall, guitar hero probably has the better selection of music on a strictly game by game basis, but Rock Band’s design is just vastly superior, and they have a lot better selection of downloadable content. There’s no denying that shit is fun as hell when you are drunk.
Dont forget the abundance of other metal downloadable for rock band: All That Remains, Dream Theater, and a few others I’m forgetting right now.
I just about died from laughter when a friend of mine told me he couldn’t come over because he had to go to band practice “Rock Band Practice”.
have fun!
btw, i own both guitar hero world tour and rock band 2
….
get ghwt!!! the drums are much better! (or get the $300 ion drum rocker… but F that)
i really really really really don’t like Black Ice
Metal is huge in the rock band games, if you own both.
At The Gates is even available as a download. Metal is hugely available in the rock band games, I have close to 50 something songs on my game alone.
AC/DC is, um, kind of full of toolbags, and this day and age, a band for toolbags. Hope you guys have fun, but not too much fun.
Adding AC/DC to a product makes me less likely to purchase it. When’s the last time they gave a damn about music?
whens the last time they were considered metal? some good classic hard rock rock but not metal
