THE ABSENCE ARE ANYTHING BUT DEAD AND GONE

The Absence, who are quickly becoming one my favorite new American metal bands, have released a new video for the song “Dead and Gone” from their excellent 2007 release Riders of the Plague. The video showcases just how hard the band rips live, as I found out last month when I saw them open for Amon Amarth.

In other news, there is nothing more metal than a pink guitar.

I am sooo stoked to see these guys finally getting the coverage they deserve, ever since I heard about them from my uncle who lives in tampa (where they’re from) right after their first cd came out, i have been blasting this shit everywhere I go and have been tellin all my buddies about em…they are the sickest New American Metal band around!!

Andy from Symphony In Peril used to play a pink SG. That’s total win.

Everybody knows the true shredders use purple guitars. I don’t think Ibanez produces these anymore.

Yeah, great band. Riders on the Plague was one of my favorites of 2007. Shitty they had problems with their drummer and didn’t get to do much touring after the release. Looks like they are getting back on track though.
