CRACKED.COM INCLUDES CANNIBAL CORPSE, THE SCORPIONS AND GUNS N’ ROSES AMONGST ITS “15 WORST ALBUM COVERS OF ALL TIME”

Cracked.com, the surprisingly hilarious website that picks up where Cracked Magazine (a.k.a. the poor man’s Mad) left off, has compiled a list of the 15 worst album covers of all time. Amongst the inductees are Guns N’ Roses Appetite for Destruction (the original robo-rape cover, not the cross n’ skulls), The Scorpions’ Lovedrive and Virgin Killer, and Cannibal Corpse’s Tomb of the Mutilated, of which the site writes the following:
“Does this image represent a convoluted knot of psychosexual neurosis in the artist? Or, was it that the band was already called Cannibal Corpse and the album Tomb of the Mutilated and really there was nowhere else to go. After checking everything else corpse-related off the list (’What if we have the corpse eating a child?’ ‘No, that’s just more cannibalism’), corpse cunnilingus was really the only thing left.”
Uh, dudes at Cracked? I think your inclusion of Tomb on the list only holds water if by “worst album covers of all time” you mean “best album covers of all time.”

Tomb of the mutilated is one of my favorite album covers ever. My question is, could it really be “corpse cunnilingus” if the vag is cut off with a knife through it?
That´s bullshit, the worst covers according to what? the art? theme? style? the inclusion of Virgin Killer is a kind of hypocritical politically correct statement… (a nude minor is in the cover oh, bad, bad scorpions…please) and the original GNR art from Appetite is crazy but awesome… fuck you cracked!
While I’m sure there is a great corpse on corpse hardcore action cover to be designed, that ain’t it.
You know what cracks me up about this album cover is that even with the obvious gore of corpses in a sexual situation on the front…they still had to put the parental advisory on it as if a parent is going to look at this album and expect to find children’s gospel music on it.

Maiden’s Dance of Death cover should have topped that list.
Tomb is one of my favorite covers of all time. The fact that other people think it is awful just reinforces that I am right. My vote would have been Sepultura Schizophrenia.

2. If they were going for offensive, they obviously didn’t do their research. Where is XXX Maniak’s Harvesting the Cunt Nectar? Or, anything from Anal Cunt?

yeah that cover was lame as shit. No only was it not up to Iron Maiden standards, it looked like some shit CG from 1998. Awful art, Good album though.
Is it wrong that I find Cannibal Corpse Album covers absolutely hilarious? They are so digusting and vulgar it makes me laugh my ass off. Butchered at Birth is my favorite.
