METALLICA VS. THE BEATLES

Many of you have no doubt heard of Beatallica already, but this is too excellent not to post. If you’re hesitant to waste your precious finger-moving energy by clicking that “play” button, consider this: the band lists their members as Jamyz Lennfield, Grg Hammeston, Kliff Mcburtney and Ringo Larz.

Totally unrelated post, but I just saw a Britney spears advert on the left. Love it. Way to stay metal

  • Andypants!!!

    This is totally amazing.

i had heard of these guys but never listened to them… absolutely brilliant

Beatallica’s 2 early EPs were the funniest things ever. They re-recorded a bunch of those songs into a real album, but the original versions were the best (I know, typical metal attitude, but that’s true in this case). That video cuts off the ad-libbing at the end, which is too bad. “Dudie dude, I hope we don’t get sued!” always had me in stitches, but this vid cuts it out.

I may dispute this being brilliant or amasing, but indeed was humorous. I listened at first at low volume and without watching the video, and it just plain sounded terrible. Then after listening and watching the video together, i see that it was supposed to be terrible. Just makes me wonder that if i posted all the bad songs i’ve covered or wrote thoughout the years with the lyrics and a video to go with it if people would claim it was amasing or brilliant. My favorite is a Soulfly cover of “NO HOPE NO FEAR” called “NO DOPE NO BEER”. Should I give it a shot?(no pun intended)

I found this quite funny last year when I first heard of them. Almost bought their last album too but the problem with bands like this is that although they are fun to watch, you won’t listen to them much after the first two or three times. Sort of like Austrian Death Machine. That was cool the first couple of times but rarely even gets thought about much anymore. The singer does a pretty good modern day Hetfield impression though.

    NO DOPE, NO BEER!

That sounds like ambient, drepessive black doomed stoner metal.

It’s shameful that this is better than anything the real Metallica has done in years. This guy does a better Hetfield than Hetfield does these days. I laughed and cried at the same time.

He also does a pretty good danzig as well. If you go to their myspace and listen to the song “And I’m Evil”

    Its pretty hilarious

I have to agree with Matt, the earlier recordings were much better, oddly enough, his voice sort of deteriorated just like Hetfield’s, but it’s great stuff to listen to anyway, even if you hate the Beatles, you can’t deny the humor in it :)
