NEW LAMB OF GOD! IN TERRIBLE QUALITY! WHOO-HOO!

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008 at 7:24am by Axl Rosenberg

Lamb of God debuted a new song, “Overhauled,” while opening for Metallica earlier this week, and, natch, some fans caught the whole affair on his or her cameras (see below). The quality is so bad that I can’t really say much about the song, but I think it sounds cool. I guess we’ll find out for sure when the band’s new album, Wrath, is released on February 24.

ANYWAY, sure is funny to see LoG play a stage smack dab in the middle of the venue, isn’t it?

Check out another angle of the same song after the jump.

Awesome :D Can’t wait for their new album.

  2. GBR says:

Cool! But, LOG just looks out of place on that huge ass stage.

  3. Kev says:

The quality isn’t all that bad.
    Pretty fucking awesome.
    Sounds rather promising. Can’t wait.
And whats the point of doing a 360 stage? Like really.

  4. Alex Haskett says:

ill save you all the time and money when it comes to their new album

    it’ll suck

just like everything else theyve released

  5. Senior Swanky says:

I’m happy to see a good band open up for Metallica finally. It’s nice to see they didn’t get Hinder or some lame radio friendly band. I will pass on seeing the sword with them though.

  6. Johnny Death says:

Sounds very promising. I like @ around 1 minute in that you see Randy have a “whoops, I forgot Lars drumset was there moment”.

  7. Blackthorned says:

Thanks Alex – thank god for people like you saving me from throwing good money away.
I urge everyone to heed this man’s inspired wisdom!

  8. RayRay says:

Motivating….although if they release another “Sacrament” I might rip my fucking hair out in anger.

  9. Jesse says:

Sound’s pretty good. One thing I like about Lamb of God is that they will never go soft. It’s just not in the cards for them.

  10. palinaborted says:

I remember going to this Metallica run of shows about a month ago and seeing the crowd react like they didn’t know who the fuck Down was. The same thing seems to be happening here with Lamb of God. What the fuck!

  11. Eric Fayuhl says:

Why do so many people seem to hate Sacrament? It’s a fantastic album, my favourite of theirs

  12. peterman says:

I liked Sacrament, but felt it lacked the bite of their earlier works. Good album, but just not as testicle-annihilating as Ashes of The Wake or As The Palaces Burn (or even early Burn the Priest material, for that matter). Can’t wait for Wrath.

  13. MetalMatt says:

PalinAborted, it’s pretty simple. Lamb of God have sold maybe a million records worldwide, Metallica have sold over 50 million in the US alone. Therefore, a majority of Metallica fans would have absolutely no idea who Lamb of God is, or Down, for that matter.

  14. muzikwhore says:

Hhhmmm……people sitting and watching LOG on stage doesnt seem right. I hate the 360 stage already and having the band spread out is distracting. I’m gonna have to skip this tour and happy to say they’re headling a show in Anaheim this month. BTW Sacrament was an alright album, not the worst or best. I trust this album will be better.

  15. Joe says:

    Thats Key Arena for you.

    The show was awesome.

  16. johnny ringo says:

i’m going to ignore the fact that people are hating on metallica’s incredibly cool stage set up and go straight to the fact that this song sounds like it has some majorly cool drum parts…2 or 3 of those real big epic breakdowns that only lamb of god can really make sound cool these days…mark morton seems to really enjoy playing that song so that’s cool too

one thing i’ve noticed is that most people who like metallica dont really listen to metal alot of times…most of them listen to disturbed and slipknot and avenged sevenfold and bullshit radio rock so it really is cool that they are bringing bands like machine head and down and lamb of god and the sword around on this monstrous stage/tour and earfucking people who…for the most part metallica is the best band they listen to and possibly opening them up to better music

  18. hackman says:

yeah i’m also very happy to see them headlining in Ventura with The mothafuckin Faceless yo. how bout this interesting poll metalsucks boys: who’d you rather see, a) LoG opening for Metallica or b) The Faceless opening for LoG? i calculated my answer in about 1.2 seconds

  19. Kye says:

Holy titties! I want this cd NOW

Actually, LOG have sold over 1 million albums in the US alone and their sales are growing. Still nothing compared to Metallica but these guys are getting bigger. Why do you think Metallica chose them as an opening act?

  21. Dr J says:

Lamb of God touring with Metallica doesn’t seem right. All i can imagine is some soccer mom confused and scared as she waits for them to play Enter Sandman.

  22. Jewers says:

Most anticipated album in a long time for me, seeing as how there my absolute favorite band. Honestly I could care less if the sound is more like Ashes or Sacrament, no matter which they go with (or a completely new sound) the boys of LoG can do wrong in my eyes.

  23. Jewers says:

Sorry for double posting but after reading some of the comments on the video, it seems that Metallica and security said no moshing…What The Fuck is that? Guess they didn’t want to alienate the older folks.

  24. Gordon Bombay says:

Dear god that looks like a horrible experience having the stage in the center like that. But I’m tired of people going out of their way to hate on bands just because they are popular. LoG is one biggest most popular Metal act in the U.S., and are one of those bands that are generally liked by most metalheads. Their is one reason for this, because they are fucking awesome. How can anyone demonize a band just because they make great meatal and have lots of success? You can never mistake a Lamb of God song for another band, unless your a dumbass, that alone makes them better than a lot of bands today. Also, Sacrament was a great album, the songs are so dynamic they add a fucking awesome change of pace to their catalog and show that Lamb of God want to continue to try new shit and expand their sound. Yeah Dec 16th in Anaheim mother fuckers !!!!

  25. Big says:

I seen them play that song in Vancouver last night and it was fucking sick. Stop hating LOG in 2009, this cd will rule. I’ll be going to see them headlining in April. I spoke with Chris at the autograph sigin and he said its already booked. I cant wait.

  26. Kev says:

    LOL at everyone hating Sacrament.
Just shows what the average metal head cares about — brutality over musical prowess. Sacrament may not be as heavy as LoG’s previous works, but it is definitely much thicker. Its much more of a three dimensional album than most of their others, Ashes being an obvious exception, but really, sit down and give sacrament a LISTEN not just a hear. That album is like nothing else on the planet.
