Damn, just heard this. I did Sloth zine back in the late 90s, he and I had very similar tastes and were members of the mutual appreciation society, haha.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr.Bromley while I interned for The End Records about 2 years back. Talking to him and getting to know his knowledge and views on the music he loved was defenetly one of the best experiences there. And was awsome enough to hook my gf up with a ticket to bamboozle.

Wow! I just read this news. I’m totally shocked. While I had not spoken to Adrian in sometime, I’m deeply saddened by this news. Adrian did PR for me while Lilitu was around on The End Records. He was always a positive person to be around, and quite funny. He came to see my band play numerous times, and we shared many drinks together. He is a loss to the metal community, may he rest in piece, wherever that is….

I only met Adrian once, we were both stuck back stage at Metalfest 2003 because of some dumbfuck’s screw-up with the guest list. He got in first…

It is cliche, but rarely is it more true there is a void in the scene today and it will be a while before its filled.

Just seeing that photo I can practically smell Adrian coming at me with a mouthful of metal. He already had more than a lifetime’s worth of raging under his belt, and it wasn’t even half what he deserved.

I wrote for Adrian and Adam at Unrestrained! for a short while. Long before and afterwards, I read his reviews and interviews at that ‘zine, Metal Maniacs and who knows how many others? Requiem/Eclipse? Terrorizer? I can’t even remember, such was his ubiquity. I can still remember the first time I met him, at Milwaukee Metalfest 2000, as well as the last time: at a Nachtmystium show last year.

There was never a more enthusiastic, generous and garrulous metal fan, writer and friend in the scene. Maybe I’m the only one who feels that way, but probably not.

December 7th, 8th and 13th are all turning into particularly sad dates on the metal calendar.

Another yahrzeit, then.

I only picked up a couple of copies of Unrestrained! over the years, but it was a good metal mag – and Adrian’s imprint was all over the thing – I swear he must have written three quarters of the text inside. So sorry to hear the news. We salute you, bro…RIP

Adrian was a great friend , a real Believer in the music he loved and a Fierce partner in our journey to return to the scene. He was our publicist and our friend. He did more for this music than anyone will ever know. I just talked to him Saturday night. He will be so sadly missed – I cannot express the sentiments in this posting – Just know that the scene is going to miss this man
and I will miss my friend.
