sea shepherd and gojira have my fullest support. i want to join sea shepherd or do something active with them and gojira? Gojira is my favorite band of all time i cannot wait to see them live next time. i will not miss their next tour. fuck whaling and unnecessary destruction of wildlife. viva gojira

The butyric acid Sea Shepherd uses is merely irritating enough to restrict the activities of the whalers. Neither the acid itself nor its use are irresponsible, deadly, or illegal–something the Japanese whalers cannot say for their own activities.

I never miss an episode of whale wars, that show is fucking awesome. They people on show don’t even act like regular hippies, they actually have balls. I only get pissed off at the jag-offs that never go out on the boat raids, they just sit in the comfort of the command room and bitch and complain.

And by the way, I saw the show in my town. Ended up hanging with the IF, 36, and Gojira guys at a bar after the show. Talked to the Gojira guys quite a bit. Nice guys…and yes they killed everyone that night. I have to say, though I have not been a fan of In Flames for a long time, they were very good and played a great set. They even played a couple Jester Race tunes.

I watched one of those episodes the other day (a differenet one than the one you described) and got the exact same impression. They may be doing good work, but the “Captain” guy looks like an ass to me. They ended up chasing and bothering a ship that was doing absolutley nothing wrong. The whole thing seemed incredibly unorganized and mismanaged. I have read things about the leader that support the display of ineptitude that I saw.

These whale hunters want to do full scale hunting and I saw in a magazine awhile back that there is also this narrow alcove somewhere in one of those Asian countries (Might be Japan) that they slaughter all sorts of dolphins to the point where it literally turns the ocean waters blood red in the cove. I think they only keep a minuscule piece of the dolphin and the rest goes to waste. There is a difference between game fishing and and relentless slaughtering.

Agreed, a devout In Flames fan for years, that was Gojira’s fucking show.Just heard last night they are trying to line up a headliner for the States either in Spring or the Fall, either way, I’ll be there the day before.

Isn’t it funny how Gojira are so into animal rights, and yet every night on stage, they kill it?….yeah it was bad, but it had to be said.

And yes they cleaned house– I was kinda on the fence about them until that night. They slayed so hard it heavy and hell and totally awesome.

Only bad thing was that the opener, 36 Crazyfists, drew in some hardcore kids who were doing the stupid kung-fu dancing the whole show.

I actually watch an episode of that show and that guy that runs the Sea Shepard should be jailed. Not for the whale protecting, but the endangerment of his crew. Virtually everyone on that ship had no experience working on a ship. The captain is a lunatic.
I had to turn it off after I watched them dump a boat full of the crew into the artic waters on a botched boat drop off the side. It was ridiculous.
