I am a fan of this band. But I have an extremely open mind to music of all kinds. I completely agree that Attila are riding a lot of the trends we’ve been seeing in metalcore over the past couple of years BUT, I do have to say that their style is very catchy and full of hooks. They went down a bit more of a groovier, southern metal feel on “Outlawed” and I think they pulled it off nicely. The only question is where do they go from here… Everytime I Die… or Design the Skyline!?

To everybody who bitches one way or another. There are always going to be people who don’t like something so much that they are going to be disgusted and post how they feel. Weather it’s hateful, disgusting, putrid comments that they make or simply just stating their opinions, it’s the internet. And that’s what the internet is all about. I am secure enough in my opinions that I can read this article and nod with a smile. If I like it, fuck yeah I’m going to have a good time listening to it… if I don’t, then I’ll voice my opinion and whoever hates me for it can suck a big fat dick! Like it or not, you’re not going to change anybodies mind!

I like how the people who are flaming the “shit talkers” because they have no life and are posting about how much this band sucks … are taking the time to also do the same things and defend the band … wtf? And typing in all caps doesn’t make what you say anymore convincing to anyone, just makes you look like a tard.

And why the fuck would you harass people who don’t like this band anyways? That makes you look like the crybaby, not them, cause who gives a fuck if they like them or not? It’s only understandable if you’re younger than 16, your balls should drop soon. Otherwise there’s no hope.

And of all this I hope to God that the actual band Attila did not make a screenname and post on this site. If you’re actually “metal” in anyway you wouldn’t give a fuck. You play for the fans, not the haters, so that opinion shouldn’t matter. It just shows how unprofessional and insecure you are of your music. Not that the actual band actually did that.

FYI I don’t mind Attila, the screamings probably the best thing and more bands need to change it up like that. A+ for the screamer.

Who cares what “core ” they are. I haven’t been too into Attila at all. That changed when I saw them live a few days back. Simply put, they were sick live. Absolutely sick and I give them props for it. They had it all, stage performance and presence, everything at perfect volume, and a bass you could actually hear that sounded like it was being slapped by Flea himself.

They might be called partycore, cause that concert felt like one hell of party no matter where you were. They stole the show from As Blood Runs Black and Stick To Your Guns

I think both sides of this argument are dumb as hell. Sure I like Atilla, “partycore” or not, I still enjoy them. At the same time I’m not going to be a pretentious douche. On the other hand, im not gonna sit here scream how “ATILLA IS TEH SHETSTAIN LOLZ LOLZ” , because again, i dont want to be pretentious (though commenting on this would probably make it seem otherwise no?). What I’m getting at is that opinions are opinions, you cant really change someone’s mind unless you either present your argument respectfully and with good detail, or if their mind is set. I may like Atilla, but i wont condemn anyone who doesn’t, nor am i going to support the pricks who are fans of them as well. People just need to grow up to be honest….

Thank for posting the only other logical comment i have read on this site. I am a metal fan, through and through…but im not going to sit here and act like its the ONLY kind of music that is of any merit. Case in point; Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, Not metal by any means, but anyone who would sit here and say those bands are awful, deserves to be de-eared in public.

And i agree whole-heartedly…there’s a lot of good going on outside of the box. Gorillaz are a good example

Agreed with Erica. I’m not a fan of everything that comes spewing from the internet/radio mega-tit, but i’m not going to condemn a band for doing something i don’t like.
