…AND DID I MENTION FUCK ROB ZOMBIE?

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008 at 10:08am by Axl Rosenberg

The rumors are true: Rob Zombie will write and direct a sequel to his Halloween remake, which will be titled H2, since moviegoers are now apparently too stupid for full titles. Trying to talk his way out of the fact that he once publicly swore he’d never make said sequel, Zombie explained “I was so burned out. [But] I took a long break, made a record and I got excited again.” In other words, somebody finally waved a big enough check in front of him to get him to return.

As you can see, there’s already a poster, but Zombie is going to have to rush into production after the New Year in order to make a title-appropriate release date. And, y’know, rushing usually equals quality… right?

  1. Poster looks a little too Leatherface-y for my comfort.

  2. Johnny Death says:

Wait, Rob Zombie made another record???

Yeah, there are too many bad remakes and sequels. Yeah, Hollywood long ago lost its creativity with respect to mainstream movies. Who cares? Metal fans should know, just from our taste in music, that we have to go elsewhere to find the gems. Get over it.

It’s a remake. What do you expect? Originality? It’s not like we can expect that from an industry where roughly 30% of its product relies on making shitty versions of classics.

If moviegoers are stupid enough to waste money on remakes in the first place, I can’t say this would be a false assumption.

ALL Rob Zombie movies so far are absolutely brilliant… including the Halloween remake (saw it in theaters and bought the DVD when it came out). I, for one, am looking forward to this movie and any other projects he’s working on. I really like White Zombie but was never really a fan of his solo stuff, but I saw him open for Ozzy in January and it was a great show!

Comparing Zombie’s Halloween to Carpenter’s film is like comparing a steaming pile of cowshit to a cadillac. As far as i’m concerned, the only thing worth looking at in any of his films[aside from the Devil's Rejects]is Sherri Moon’s truly spectacular ass.

I don’t know what you people are so upset about. Don’t you realize what this means? WE’RE ONLY A FEW YEARS AWAY FROM ROB ZOMBIE’S REMAKE OF HALLOWEEN 3: SEASON OF THE WITCH!!!!!! You know, the one with the masks that will kill the kids once the TV commercial runs?! I’M SO EXCITED I PEED MY PANTS!
