BLACK METAL KITTENS?

AP reports [via Relapse Records media-maven Betsey C.] that a Pennsylvania woman has been marketing “gothic kittens” with ear, neck and tail piercings over the Internet:

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) – Humane officers said a Pennsylvania woman marketed “gothic kittens” with ear, neck and tail piercings over the Internet. Officers with the SPCA of Luzerne County removed three kittens and a cat from a home outside Wilkes-Barre.

Morrison said the woman has a pet grooming business in the basement of the home.

Officer Carol Morrison said the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals raided the home on Wednesday after getting a tip that the woman was selling the pierced kittens on eBay.

“It’s unbelievable anybody would do this to kittens,” Morrison said.

Charges are likely against the homeowner, whose name was not released.

This is all sorts of fucked up. Makes me think twice about the MetalSucks Mansion Monkeys we keep around to do the busy-work.

  2. DeathMetalDave says:

Besides just being totally ridiculous, how is this any more inhumane than declawing a cat?

  3. Muzikwhore says:

AAWWWW!!!! Its one thing to decide to look like a freak urself but another to get an innocence animal a make them one. At first I thought the pierced ears were ornaments. Poor thing.

  4. dthrasher says:

Whats worse, the fact that this lady pierced her cat’s ears, or the fact that people pay to have their balls straight chopped off?

  5. hibernum says:

The back piercing is a bit too much. Still, I don’t see a problem with ear piercings. They do much worse to dogs, with ear and tail docking. Or to cats, with declaws. They cut off the cat’s fingertips, and that is ok? They mutilate dogs’ ears and tails, and that is fine. But put a hole in a cat’s ears and we take them away. Strange society we live in…

  6. hibernum says:

Also, what’s up with the puppy cam these days? I lost that linky, are you still hooked?

  7. hells_cowgirl says:

The piercings in that cats ears looked extremely uncomfortable if you ask me. They are huge and pulling the ears down. And yes declawing is also inhumane. Fucking goths.

  8. The Mighty Fucking Quinn says:

It’s fucked, because if you pierce the cartilage in the wrong spot, the cat may not be able to lift it’s head. That’s just all sorts of fucking sick.

  9. hibernum says:

No, what’s fucked is if you pierce the ears in the wrong spot and hit an artery, your cat bleeds to death.

If you really wanted to torture kittens, you’d force them to read Vince Neilstein blogs.

  15. Devin says:

@ hibernum: Wow you are a sick fuck. I can’t believe any human being would sit here and try to justify these cruel acts done to the cats.

Animals are de-clawed in a medical setting by a trained professional while sedated. Also there is a reason for de-clawing animals. So they can not harm a human being or your possessions.

As for cutting off dogs tails, it is done for one of two reasons. One is for dog’s that have a job to do. Owners find that they chase their tail several hours out of the week, to scratch an itch, or to catch a fly or flea. This can’t be happening when the dog is used to guard someone or herd animals.

I would like to buy me a gothic kitten, I hope they take Paypal.

That’s fucking disgusting. People who treat animals like this proper deserve to have their legs broken.
