PAGANFEST 2K9 ADDS KORPIKLAANI AND SWASHBUCKLE!

The second annual run of the MetalSucks-approved Paganfest USA tour — which one month ago announced it would include Primordial, Eluveitie, Moonsorrow and Blackguard (formerly Profugus Mortis) — has now announced the final lineup. Finnish folk-metallers Korpiklaani, whom to Kip W.’s dismay I once described as “Tetris metal,” will round out the bill along with New Jersey’s own Swashbuckle. If you can’t closely guess what a band called Swashbuckle might sound like, I suggest you get that eyepatch adjusted.

Korpiklaani is awesome. However, if they wanted pirate metal, they should have gone with Battleheart/Alestorm. At least they have folksy bits in their music to set it apart.
Korpiklaani is pretty awesome, I’ve never heard of them before until today. Their music fits the being-snowed-in-and-drinking-heavily mindset that today brings. Cheers.
Add Elvenking to this and the level of epic would be even higher. Still a very sick lineup nontheless.

This is a killer fucking lineup. Korpiklaani kills. I now looking at the picture I do see a resemblence of Burt Reynolds and Harland Williams hahahaha.
Primoridal and Moonsorrow should really be the headliners for this, not Eluveitie & Korpiklaani.
And…no one cares.

well, i am definitely going for eluveitie and korpiklaani. moonsorrow and primordial will be fun, but i would go even if they were not playing.
Korpiklaani is awesome, but I’ve never heard of Swashbuckle… Alestorm is pirate metal at its best, though.
