I hear it and say to myself "I should be losing my shit right now, why don't I think this is great?" Something about it just doesn't add up. Cattle Decapitation, Lamb Of God, and Meshuggah are three bands that I will literally check out every few months just to see if they click with me yet, and so far, no. But hey, since you're talking about Cattle Decaptiation, the drummer for The Locust used to drum for them. And you know who fucking rules? The Locust. You guys never, EVER talk about them, but they are easily one of the most interesting grind bands out there. Check out the album "Safety Second, Body Last", it's fucking wild. Or their older stuff, which is grindier, like "Plague Soundscapes". And man are they fucking tight as hell live. Def start with Karma Bloody Karma, its prolly most memorable. For the record, the cow crapping a human was a cool cover but it never made me want to listen to them either, even though I had heard the name a hundred times. Good shit.
