WHAT ARE MASTODON COUNTING DOWN TO?

MetalSucks Maniac Wayne Graham just tipped us off to the fact that Mastodon’s official website is currently counting down (see screen shot above).
The question, of course, is what are they counting down to? An official first single? A tour announcement? Both? The clock will run out on Thursday. Guess we’ll have to wait ’til then to find out…

Having a Mac is about as un-metal as it gets. Means you listen to indie music that you think is highly tasteful and eclectic in addition to having less than one testicle.
First of all; Macs are totally awesome and br00tal. Fuck all who say otherwise.
Anyway, my guess would be that it’s for a free download of a new single like so many of Roadrunner’s bands had. They all had countdowns on their sites like this.

I agree with both sides, I hear that Macs are pretty cool IF they can do what you want them to do, and that function that allows you to see all your screens as a tile, that is cool. However, they don’t do the functions I need them to do because the software and programs I use don’t work with a Macs operating system. So, in that regard Macs suck.
I’d rather be using a mac than this piece of shit XP Pro I’m on right now. Vista’s worse, I had to downgrade.

Ummmm, you can run Windows on a Mac, so you can run all those Pc programs that your heart desires. It’s really pretty easy.
Ive never understood why you would emulate windows on a mac rather than just..you know…running it on a pc and eliminating the middle man. I have nothing against macs though and im sure that there are things that they do better than pc’s and vice versa, but i will never buy one simply because of all the douche bags that think apple products instantly make them cooler for owning it. Also the fact that every time i turn on the tv i have to see at least five fucking mac commercials that don’t sell anything except how hip they are. METAL, YEA! \m/
Macs certainly don’t make people “cooler” but they are much more reliable than Windows-based PCs and have a far superior interface. Mac OS X is the Enslaved of operating systems; Vista is the Nickelback.
…or people use Windows because they don’t give a flying fuck about interfaces and features and functions and they only use their computer for metal and porn. Not necessarily in that order.

I need a lot of other programs other than Microsoft, albeit that is a big one, but the programs I need to run are not compatible with Macs because they are not well known because it is software made by some person for engineering. These programs just won’t run with that particular operating system, or else it does not run correctly.
I know that Relapse has more than a few macs, but we all they are just an un-metal, hippie flute-and-tambourine artist collective.
My moneys on new website along with other things possbily. And why did this turn into a mac vs apple discussion? The superior OS is by far Linux
