“WHY DOES EVERYONE WHO WRITES ARTICLES AT METAL AT METALSUCKS HAVE THEIR TONGUES SOOO DAM FAR UP GOD FORBID’S ASSHOLE?”

That’s what a reader calling him or herself “bondedbybud” asked after we encouraged you to download the new God Forbid song, “War of Attrition.” But what I really like about the comment – aside from the expert grammar, of course – is the suggestion that the members of God Forbid all share one, (presumably) giant asshole. I bet a lot of poop comes out of that thing, five stinky metal dudes all having to utilize it n’ everything.

ANYWAY, the simple answer to bondedbybud’s question is: God Forbid rock, rule, pwn, or however the fuck else you wanna say it. Metal Injection just posted part 3 of their behind-the-scenes look at the making of the band’s upcoming, ass-rippingly good record, Earthsblood, which Century will release on February 24.     I don’t like God Forbid either, but my “not liking” isn’t gonna stop you from writing how awesome they are, how their new album is gonna sooooo freaking rock and bla-bla-bla…

    To be honest, there are 1000 at least better bands than God Forbid.

    It think this band just hasn’t gotten the big backing and support they deserve, which has meant things have taken a bit longer, when placed in comparison to the other bigger bands who started playing shows around the same time as them. This band have been on the verge on releasing the album that gets them through for some time now. From what i’ve heard of Earthsblood, they’ve done it this time.

    All the more support to them, can’t wait for Feb 24th.

    I agree with Byron. God Forbid is very underrated and 1000 times better than LOG who everyone else loves to teabag….They haven’t made a good album since As the Palaces Burn and judging by the release of Contractor from their new album, I’m assuming this one will suck too.

    Let me guess…you two guys think Metallica’s new album fucking rules right?

    Of course not, Death Magnetic isn’t good at all… And yet you missed your point.

    I don’t have any problems with Metalsucks covering God Forbid too much here, as the guy up there said it – they are their buddies and at the mansion they love *core/sludge/experimental/black&roll/avantgarde/atmospheric… So any band covering one genre from above – got their space here.

    And I must ask… What the fuck is up with Gojira’s new album? It’s the new black? Everyone here are praising it, but on the other side of the metal world the truth is spoken. It blows as much as Death Magnetic (maybe even more)

    Bondedbybud does have a point. You do talk about a band no one really gives a shit about in my opinion. I have never heard ANYONE talk about the band, just not badly about them but not at all. And was all that shit about Guns and Roses for weeks and weeks and weeks? They are not metal. I visit this site a lot less often then I used to.

    Wow how flattering to know that my post caused such a stir. I agree with Sweetnsour you guys do cover God Forbid a wee too much and you did have 17 million articles on GNR also. Personally i don’t see what the big thing is about GF, never have never will. I am also amused by Dallas’ blogs where he thinks he is some kind of philosopher and has to go on rants about all these different topics like he actually thinks people care. And for the person that said Gojira’s new album sucks, i totally disagree. And about the whole GF sharing the same asshole I was just using it as a metaphor to explain how much ass kissing they get hear on metalsucks.

    Bondedbybud: You sound like a guy who can form sentences. BUT, Metalsucks doesn’t cover GF any more than any other site. Look at blabbermouth, metalinjection and theprp. They have the same news articles at the same times. What you FAIL to recognize here is, I DO A BLOG FOR METALSUCKS YOU FUCKING MONKEY! I’m in the band and I do a blog so it would seem as if we’re covered more but we’re not. The reality is I, ME, DALLAS, is covered more, not the band. If i choose to talk about GF in a blog that’s my call and my decision to push our band. Blame metalsucks for having me do a blog, not for covering GF more than any other. and in reality, Metalinjection and Blabbermouth have more stories about us than Metalsucks. Get your head out of your ass and figure out the philosophy of your own bullshit. And yes, the new Gojira isn’t as good as the last three. I love em, but this record fell flat.

    but I saw tehm live in germany I think hell on earth or presistance tour, don’t remember wich one they played. amazing.

    You made a fair point about the GF coverage perhaps but not sure where you’re coming from regarding his blogs – surely rants and musings are the very nature of a personal blog. It’s what they do? Obviously if you don’t like what he says then that’s another matter but I come here to read blogs and simply don’t click read more on the ones that don’t interest me.

    yeah, wouldn’t have known about metalsucks.net were it not for dallas’ blog. god forbid is the best metal band out today, btw. and if you hadn’t put the pieces together yourself, his dallas’ name backwards is sallad. crazy..

    Just for the record the post made at 2:04 pm was not me, just some mallcore kiddie brat that took my comments about his favorite band a little too personally. I’ve listened to a fair share of GF songs and I have to say out of all I listened to I only like one. What brought me to metalsucks in the first place was a post about a year ago from one of my favorite bands Goatwhore calling for the lead singer of Trivium to be beheaded I rolled on the floor with laughter at that post and I couldn’t agree more, and I found the post about The Absence trading their shirts for Trivium ones so they could be burned equally awesome. I’ve been visiting the site everyday since then. The difference I see between metalsucks and blabbermouth is I find blabbermouth covers a lot more bands and is more of a true news site then metalsucks, but I like metalsucks for the humor. I was just expressing my opinion is all to each their own I guess. If Dallas wants to keep posting blogs here great, I will do what the first guy who commented said and scroll on.
