Friday, January 9th, 2009 at 9:48am by Vince Neilstein
Shrinebuilder, the project that features in equal measure Wino (St, Vitus, Hidden Hand), Scott Kelly (Neurosis), Al Cisneros (Om, Sleep), and Dale Crover (Melvins), will be in the studio with Toshi Kasai (Melvins, Big Business) from January 9th through January 11th, according to a press release sent exclusively to MetalSucks by the band’s publicist. Shrinebuilder’s debut full-length is set for a summer 2009 release on Neurot Recordings.
Scott Kelly has announced that he will report live from the studio via http://www.weburnthroughthenight.blogspot.com beginning no later than Saturday, January 10th. Look for guest blogs by other members of Shrinebuilder as well as possible in-studio photos from the band.

Hell Yeah!
Best news ever!
Wino is also working on a solo disc, as we speak. I believe it’s called “Wino”
The Wino solo disc is actually coming out this Tuesday. It’s called Punctuated Equilibrium. Unless there’s a second one that I’m not aware of. And…this is ridiculously good news.
I have been WAITING to hear something about Shrinebuilder actually happening. So fucking stoked. And I’m interested in hearing Wino’s solo album. Could go either way I think….
I’ve heard the Wino solo album and can confirm that it’s really, really good. Nothing TOO out of the ordinary for Wino, but he’s got some really sweet bluesy jams, some more progressive-minded stuff, an instrumental or two, some fuzzier doom stuff and his guitar solos are warm and ripping. AWESOME. I was never a huge St. Vitus fan but this has me scramblin’ to hear more of Wino’s back catalog.
i came.
How did I miss this or, forget or something. I gotta stop drinking.
