I’ve heard the Wino solo album and can confirm that it’s really, really good. Nothing TOO out of the ordinary for Wino, but he’s got some really sweet bluesy jams, some more progressive-minded stuff, an instrumental or two, some fuzzier doom stuff and his guitar solos are warm and ripping. AWESOME. I was never a huge St. Vitus fan but this has me scramblin’ to hear more of Wino’s back catalog.

The Wino solo disc is actually coming out this Tuesday. It’s called Punctuated Equilibrium. Unless there’s a second one that I’m not aware of. And…this is ridiculously good news.
