I listened to the entire album every morning while travelling to school two years ago. It sucks at first, but really grows on you if you listen to it a couple of times. Even the vocalist has his moments. I recommend checking out ‘City of the Dead’. He does a great job there.

First of all, I am terribly disappointed that there are all these responses and nobody is talking about the faces. I mean either the drummer is constipated or trying to swallow his face. Hilarious! And people want to talk about “the music”? The riffs are ok, but the drummer’s faces bring me back for more.

Second, shouldn’t we talk about Rusty’s crazy ass instructional videos? I think we should.

I’d love to rip on “bob” but since that has been accomplished by others I’ll thank him instead for bringing the wonderful news that the “testicle squeezed” vocalist is out of the band. The music rocked but those vocals made me want to stab myself in the ear with a screwdriver. The vocals ruined what was otherwise pretty damn good. I sincerely hope he quit the band so that he could drive to the nearest cliff and jump off it.

my only problem with rusty cooley and similar shredders like MAB is that while they are ridiculously technical, it’s not musical enough. i simply can’t listen to it.

First off, he DIDN’T rag on Outworld – although any band with a ridiculous high-pitched power metal singer sucks immediately, as far as I’m concerned – and second, if you feel this site is such a cancer, why are you here? Go sharpen your swords, or burn down a church or something.

You’re out of touch. Just accept it so you can get back to making your world smaller in peace, and we can get back to enjoying good MUSIC – that’s right, there’s a bigger world out there than just metal.

BTW, I enjoy metal from the 1970s through now, ranging from Maiden to Slayer to Cannibal Corpse to All Shall Perish and much in between, so don’t try to peg me as representing “metalcore” – a subgenre that means very little to me. “Actual” metal bands? I don’t even care what you mean by that. Axl is growing the “scene” (which is a bullshit notion anyway; what is a “scene” and why should anyone care about it?) by fostering dialogue, reviewing metal new and old, and generally promoting the discussion of metal – a genre heavily beleaguered by hostile and closeminded fucks like you.

First of all, the singer quit this band like last year and they said they will take the band in a Meshuggah style direction for the next CD, so it would be nice if you got your shit straight.

Second of all, you rag on Outworld (who I don’t particularly love either; too many stolen Nevermore riffs), but praise All Shall Perish? Like your (awful) musical taste actually matters. Keep praising soulless wanky metalcore bands and shitting on actual metal bands. This site is a cancer to the scene, just like Metal Injection.
