really? a bad review based on 1 song streaming on myspace? i don’t mind that ‘everyone’s a critic’, but at least have something to critique before dumping your ill-informed opinion out on the internet.

The new Big Business song is indeed weak, though. I’ve seen ‘em perform it thrice live, and it’s not very good in that setting. Too much guitar. They should ditch Toshi, Big Business are better without weedy guitar riffs taking the focus off of the caveman basslines.

The bass should sound better in the final mix (off myspace, which sucks.) I’m positive the song will sound much more awesome when you can hear the bass fully, because it’s slaying from what I can hear. I’m a fanboy but still, I’m banking this song fits better in the album flow than. The last album had plenty of slower bits with plenty of atmosphere.

Having seen Big Business a few times recently, they have mostly been playing new stuff, and it sounds great live. I’m not worried at all.

I quite like the song, actually. It sounds like it’s mixed strangely, however. This may not be the final mix/master of the song. Plus, it needs the context of the rest of the record. Having said that, I am very excited about this record.

I don’t mind the song itself. To me it sounds like they’re trying their best to accomodate Toshi’s guitars but haven’t quite figured out how to do it yet.

Definitely lacking the “oomph” that I have come to expect from Big Business. I don’t think the stream quality had anything to do with it. It just sounds like a weak tune. I dearly hope they have put the shittiest song on the record up first. I just don’t expect such a downhill slide to continue for the whole album.
