THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN ARE HIDING IN MY BEDROOM

OK, not really, but they are playing some East Coast venues much smaller than they usually would. I don’t think the word “intimate” applies to a Dillinger Escape Plan show, but these three February gigs might come close.
These cozy (read: totally fucking cramped) shows will be the first opportunities for audiences to see new drummer Billy Rymer in action with the band. This probably means previews of new Dillinger Escape Plan tunes as well, which should make rabid fans salivate with delight and, yes, rabies. More growled metalcore? More Patton-esque singing? Who knows?! Anyway, here are the dates:
February 5 – Philadelphia – The Barbary
February 6 – Baltimore – The Ottobar
February 7 – NYC – The Studio at Webster Hall
-GS

They have a new drummer already? What happened to Gil, he was the man! Didn’t they lose their guitarist too? Why can’t this band keep any musicians…it’s like its not even a band, but an entity that must continue even though the musicians themselves don’t really matter…
As long as Ben Wienmen stays in DEP all should be good. He writes most of the music, I even read he did a lot of the drum patterns for ire works.
@ Seth.
Gil left to concentrate on Stolen Babies, they’re still on good terms, him and Ben are supposedly gonna work on something together in the future. Brian Benoit lost the use of his hand due to nerve damage and can’t play anymore. DEP are unfortunate with some of their members, their previous bassist was paralyzed in a car crash.
I’d agree with you that they’re more an entity then a band, they’re just so awesome they can’t be stopped! Between this and the Converge/GT show I’m almost considering moving to America.
FYI, they played the Ottobar about a year ago.
