NINE BANDS ADDED TO SCION ROCK FEST (AKA ATLANTA METALFEST)! + HOW TO GET TICKETS

According to a press release delivered to the MS Mansion this morning via Pony Express, nine more bands have been added to the already boner-ific lineup at the COMPLETELY FREE Scion Rock Fest in Atlanta on February 28th:

So, about those free tickets, you’re wondering. We’ll be giving away 10 pairs right here on MetalSucks starting next week. But if you aren’t lucky enough to win a set here or you just want to ensure entry now, here’s what you gotta do:
Go to http://www.scion.com/rock, starting on January 28th. You will be asked to enter your email address and your zip code. If you live within a 60 mile radius of a retail pick-up location, you will be emailed a confirmation that allows you to pick up a pair of tickets at the closest location. You MUST bring this confirmation to the store to obtain your tickets. If you live outside that radius, your name will be added to a will call list to get tickets the day of the show at the venue, and you will be emailed a confirmation for that. Below is a list of all participating retail locations, but remember, you MUST sign up at http://www.scion.com/rock.

One question; does having a ticket GUARANTEE entry, or is it still first come first serve even if you have one. ..i’m booking a flight for this.

Entry is not guaranteed. I heard they gave out maybe thousands of more tickets than can actually be admitted. There is no straight shot through public transit from the Airport to the Masquerade. I live 10 minutes away and I’m leaving at 8 AM.
Actually, I have talked to the guy running the show for the Masquerade. Entry with a ticket is now guaranteed. They decided not to over give-away the tickets, so stop worrying about it.
