AT LEAST BLEEDING THROUGH’S MARTA IS GOOD AT SOMETHING

‘Cause lord knows, her band sure blows donkey balls. Check out Marta’s recent appearance on the Shockhound show “Stella Can’t Cook,” in which the not-as-hot-as-everyone-makes-her-out-to-be Bleeding Through keyboardist shows metalhead men with boners worldwide how to cook a Norwegian pastry.

  1. The new Bleeding Through album is pretty fucking good. I bet you guys would like it if they were from Sweden

  2. metalgf says:

    you just aren’t into bangs.

  3. TopCow says:

I’m sorry, but Marta is hot as hell. I think she’s awesome.

  4. Cult says:

    “not-as-hot-as-everyone-makes-her-out-to-be”

Bollocks to that, you wouldn’t kick Marta out of your bed i bet!

  5. Gordon Bombay says:

She should show off her cans on a crappy cell phone camera photo like the keyboardist from Winds of Plauge. Otherwise any post on her or her band is unnecessary.

  6. a girl's perspective says:

the problem with marta is not that she’s unattractive or balls-ass ugly. the problem is that she has big head syndrome.
you’ll see it every so often and you probably wonder why you don’t find this person attractive when you feel you should.
    it’s the big head.

  7. SonOF says:

I’ve always HATED everything about Bleeding Through, from their tired “scene” look and sound, to their worthless keyboardist (she is essentially stealing money from the band since her playing didn’t add ANYTHING to the overall sound). However, after reading many good reviews about their most recent album, I grudgingly decided to give it a try, and goddamn, it is pretty decent. BT sounds like a completely different band on “Declaration;” and actually deserves some credit.

  8. Nick says:

More room for me and my boner in between those two in that kitchen then.

  9. iceman says:

she looks like the underside of my nutsack

  10. Self-Titled says:

I totally agree with DAISY MAY PISSAPANTS. Drummer is fuckin retardedly good. Tasty heavy music. and dude Vince wtf?? whose fuckin side are you playing on? I wanna bake Martas cookies and put some pastries up in that oven :)

  11. Shiver says:

    Shallow much?

  12. Paxl Rose says:

Not a fan of the band, but she’s a cutie and sounds somewhat articulate.

  13. HughDoVoodoo says:

Shouldn’t the metal be above commenting on how hot a woman is whenever they get a mention? Pshah.

Also: Declaration is a quality album.

  14. The Donger says:

Yeah, she seems very nice, like probably a good person and good friend in this video…

BUT…I don’t think being a mediocre keyboard player in a metalcore band really is impressive as a musician. I would say this if she were a guy as well, so it’s not the female thing.

There are a LOT of really really great female musicians in the world, but Marta just seems like one of those that rides on her looks, the fact that she can play a little piano and that’s all.

Which sucks for the REALLY talented women, because she’s just validating that you can be a so-so female musician as long as you are hot.

  15. CJ says:

Damn. MS really doesn’t give enough credit to Bleeding Through (or to Marta ’cause she’s pretty fuckin’ cute). Bleeding Through should not be written off as crappy metalcore band following some trend when, in fact, every other metalcore band is copying them. Bleeding Through has been around for a long-ass time, and were one of the first bands to really capture the sound of true metalcore.

From A Portrait of a Goddess to Declaration, I have to say that Bleeding Through has come a long way with their style. I saw them in 2004 when they toured for This is Love, This is Murderous with HIMSA and Death by Stereo. I wasn’t impressed with Molly’s work on that album (the constant choir voices!) but I understand Marta had to keep the sound to be consistent. However, Declaration is actually a well written album, although I find a lot of their riffs and drums to sound a like. Brendan’s singing parts are a lot better than on The Truth. Marta definitely knows her keys, though–I have been playing classical piano for 20 years and can tell when someone’s just standing around hitting a few notes and when they know how to play well (for instance, listen to Sister Charlatan on Declaration where she’s doing some multi-voicing that’s reminicent of the baroque period). Maybe some songs don’t call for a lot of work so it’s unncessary for her to run scales and arpeggios so I can see why people may think she doesn’t do anything. Who knows. But coming from a metal keyboardist, she has my vote!

  17. Dustin says:

There is one reason Declaration is such an awesome album. Devin Townsend. The man is a genius.

  18. Chad Hobin says:

Vince Neilstein you are nothing but a fuckin’ prick!! 1) Obviously you have never met any of Bleeding Through’s band members or none the less been to one of their shows before because they are such down to earth and nice people “Who understand the music business” 2) The are quite simply one of the BEST live bands I have EVER gotten to see live because I have seen them 12 times in concert 3) Marta is beyond beautiful especially when behind her keyboards on stage 4) Meet Marta and talk to her man, she is such a damn sweetheart and I would do anything and everything for her…

I just wish people would listen/learn about things before they dare have the nerve to critize things

  19. Marissa says:

Since their first release they have changed their sound.
    But it’s still Bleeding Through.
Marta is fucking hot and doesn’t love herself.
I met her not long ago and she’s just like any of us, was talking to her for a while about england, food, clothes, girly chat really.
    :D

    • Chad Hobin says:

Thank you Marissa for being on my side for this one. Marta is a wonderful lady and will talk to you about anything and everything and is truly fun to be around.
