I think they were great on their first couple of albums.
Then they started being over produced and writing for the American market, sounding way too nice and clean for a metal band, which is really starting to plauge 90%of melodic death bands these days.
Live shows are still raw and powerful though, vocals much better than they sound on the albums

Overrated? How so? I don’t see all the hype and fuss coming for anywhere, which would actually have promoted them more – because they deserve the exposure.
They’re very underrated if anything!

Soilwork are one of the most overrated metal bands out there. More boring then watching paint dry.
