In case the new song “Sharpen the Blades” and that free death metal medley mp3 we gave away awhile back didn’t get you excited for the new Dååth’s forthcoming new album, The Concealers: the band has posted another new song, “The Worthless,” on their MySpace page (or you can just check out the widget above… ’cause, my headline aside, we do like to make life a lil’ bit easier on our readers).

As with the aforementioned “Blades,” “The Worthless” suggests that The Concealers is going to be a somewhat more traditionalist (if still completely modern) death metal album than the band’s Roadrunner debut, The Hinderers, which dipped its toe in more American New Wave-ish waters. Personally, I’m glad for the shift in direction, as it should quiet the naysayers who think Dååth are just another Hot Topic band.

The Concealers was produced by Jason Suecof and Mark Lewis, and will be released April 21 on Century via a partnership with Roadrunner. Take note, American politicians: metal labels actually know how to reach across the aisle.

Definitely more traditional. The lead always takes it right back to the Daath I’m used to though.

I’m stoked as shit to hear the new album. Sean Z is a beast on the vocals.

I hate to be *that guy*, but…did they sample “Praise the Lord” by Dying Fetus for the first part of “Fecal Finger”? Or just cover it?

Sounds good, and I’m not partial to death metal.

Sounds like sex on a stick, especially the solo.

    @ cyrollan – yeah, its a cover.

I still think this vocalist is sub-par. Farber actually had a unique hint of creativity. In fact, his vocals were the main reason I got into DÅÅTH.
