Sylosis are just great, in the UK we haven’t previously had any bands to compare to the likes of Trivium, etc., but we’re getting a fantastic underground metal scene here, it’s very healthy atm. Sylosis remind me of all the best bits of the thrash scene, mixed with some progressive stuff. I hope they have great things ahead of them. I’ve seen them twice, and they are as every bit good live as on record, unlike a lot of the crappy bands doing the rounds these days.

It would be the opposite way for me. Thankfully, they’re not a ’strict’ thrash band. And it’s by no means terrible.
Anyway, we won’t let this band be washed up. Just wait and see.

Yeah. When I first heard about them, the fan number was really countable. Yet, things are so much better now…freaking love this band. :)

They’re pretty good, a little reminiscent of Trivium at times though, atleast with vocals.

They describe their music pretty accurately and their Myspace site self-identifies them as metal/thrash/progressive. I think that’s adequate. The riffage and fills are fucking good.

At least they admit they aren’t strictly thrash – some of the riffing goes into melodic death territory, and the vocal style is very much metalcore. But still, they are a quality band and I love the whole theme surrounding the album.

the tracks on their myspace kick ass. this is better than pretty much all the thrash revival bands running around right now (municipal waste being a possible exception).
