Knife The Glitter isn’t afraid to reference the cinematic nadir of popstar Mariah Carey’s career. Nor are these noisy rockers afraid of opening for Dillinger Escape Plan for three “cozy” East Coast dates beginning tonight in Philly. Presumably, it ain’t afraid of no ghost neither.

The as-yet unsigned band – apparently still without a singer – have a few promising instrumental demos up on its MySpace page. You can also listen to some of the more metalcore-ish tracks the band did with a former vocalist at its Purevolume page. So in case you were thinking about showing up for these DEP gigs late, think again, fucker.

    Dude, shame-the-fuck on you for calling anything KTG ever done “METALCORE”! These dudes aren’t ripping off At the Gates, JFAC, Norma Jean, or whatever the fuck it is you think is “METALCORE”.

    Do you know how uncultivated it is to denominate a band in the underground metal scene “metalcore” if they don’t (and this isn’t an opinion, it’s just a FACT if you know even the slightest bit about the metal genre) infact play “metalcore”.

    Not for thing, but you shouldn’t write for a metal news herald and have such a lack of knowledge about metal. And yes, sir, I do challenge your cognition after that horrid remark.

    I’m going to bitch it up to your superintendent STAT. If Metalsucks.net has any concerns regarding their stature and content, they’ll make it a point to stop “GARY SUAREZ” from making a single, solitary post again.

    This response wasn’t constructed for open discussion. I’ve seen too many people posting such ignorant shit to let it go anymore. There is no room for error when you can simply hit the backspace and do a little research.

    I advise you to not take the band to heart, just as you didn’t judge the name “BARACK OBAMA” when you voted.

    Wow…I think that post was far more retarded than anything GS has ever written..and frankly anything I’ve read on MS for a long time. If you are gonna take shots at GS for calling KTG “metalcore,” (which in your defense, they are not) then the lead band you mention as a quintessential “metalcore” band should not be At The Gates (if we want to get technical Mr. “do your research”, they are melodic death metal, which influenced metalcore, but is not in fact metalcore).

    Also worthy of noting, GS said “metalcore-ish” and never called KTG a metalcore band.

    Lastly, what in god’s name would make you care this much about the classifications of sub-genres of metal. Who really cares if a band is “metalcore” or “tech-grindcore” or whatever you would call this (“avant-garde-tech-spazz-who gives a fuck-metal?”). The only thing I learned from your post is that you Fisted, are a douche.

    Rumors are saying Mariah Carey was seen wearing a maternity dress. I will wait to see the confirmation as I will be happy to hear that. She is my idol and I love all her music
