Chinese Democracy is the worst piece of crap I ever listened to. I litteraly laughed my ass off listening to Axl’s poor attempt at signing. I would NEVER even consider copying this album for free, because it would be a waste of Hard Disk space… I would rather download a virus. Poor album = poor sales. Axl can (and probably will) blame everyone but himself, but HE knows Chinese Democracy is absolute crap.

I’ll echo what Metal Martyr said. Waiting too long and putting out a record with a totally different sound under the same name almost never works. Take Metallica’s Load and Re-Load. I thought they were great albums, but they were not Metallica albums.

what a baby! these days bands pay for their own productions and the whole major label luxurys are far gone. i have a ton of respect for what the guy has done in the past but lets be a little real about this. thats a fuck ton of money to do an albumn. an unlimited resource! he should be licking anyones ass that was involved with this, and im sure the producer did just a little more than stated. any novice can hear the splicing on their single. with that amount of money i expect alot more from our “experianced” “diva” rockstar.
just asome advice for the dying majors, spend you resources a little more wisely! there are a ton of hungry “rising” artists out there that deserve the spot light. fuck off baby axl!

And it was a great record, I could care less what band he’s calling it.

Glad to have this big crazy ginger back. Hopefully he’ll stay in the limelight for awhile, I enjoy

The problem with Chinese Democracy is very simple….A bands’ sound will evolve over time, as you can see with everyone from the Beatles to Megadeth…..When the listening public doesn’t have a periodic reference point to absorb changes and evolution in a bands style (i.e. waiting 13 fucking years for a new album), not only are expectations set way too high, the resulting product sounds nothing like the music previously associated with that bands name, and regardless how incredible the album is (like Chinese Democracy), it will lose most of it’s potential buyers based on these facts. No big mystery here, and all of the publicity in the world would not have changed the results much.

You know, I actually thought it was a pretty good record…but I wouldn’t go and call it a Guns N Roses Record. Not because of the fact that it was missing former members or anything, but it just didn;t have that feel or sound to it. Musically it was good.
