Slipknot and Disturbed sell ten times more albums than Slayer ever has or ever will, so having commercial Metal acts like that headline is completely understandable. But Manson/Slayer!?!? That's the only SHIT part of the entire line up. But hey, at least I get to leave early. haha! As for ZzzFest...well, sure it may be due to the fact that Mayhem has managed to kick their ass for 2 years running now by booking bands early and putting together some pretty stellar line ups. But seriously, the Ozzfest team was always entirely fucking clueless as to who genuine Metal fans wanted to see on a summer METAL festival. At least Kevin Lyman has an ear to the ground and either knows what the fuck is going on with Metal, or has a team that does, because he's putting bands on Mayhem that DESERVE the attention and exposure (minus this year's Headliners of course...). Not to mention Summer Slaughter is growing larger as well. And we all know that Summer Slaughter is going to get bigger, and Thrash and Burn will likely pick up as well. But then Ash Avildsen is obviously well versed in extreme metal and knows who the fuck to put on his package tours. Anyhow, definitley looking forward to Mayhem, Summer Slaughter, Thrash And Burn, Blackened Fest, and even possibly Warped Tour. Any of those, excepting the last one, have had and will continue to have way more METAL line ups than Ozzfest could ever have dreamed of putting together. And that's the word!
