WINDS OF PLAGUE RELEASE NEW VIDEO, PREPARE FOR FIRST MAJOR LAWSUIT

I suppose it’s entirely possible that Winds of Plague – or, more specifically, Winds of Plague’s handlers – cleared the rights to use clips from Zack Snyder’s film adaptation of Frank Miller’s comic book graphic novel 300 for their new video, “Anthems of the Apocalypse.” But I somehow doubt it; I can’t see Warner Bros. giving up the rights that cheaply, and I don’t see WOP having it in their budget to fork over the Benjamins. Maybe they paid the dubba-dubba-WB with naked photos of keyboardsit Kristen Randall?

In any case, I have no fucking idea what the thematic significance is of 300 to the song anyway. In a press release, lead singer Johnny (the release doesn’t say what the dude’s last name is and I am far too lazy to Wikipedia that bitch right now) attempts to explain:

“This video pretty much is the perfect representation of WINDS OF PLAGUE: an energetic live show meets the brutal killing fields of oversized monsters, demonic samurai warriors and buff killing machines.”

Translation: “It looked cool.”

    This is my first contact with their music… and I can’t say I’m impressed. Their vocalist sucks pretty hard. And the way they’re all headbanging early on really doesn’t fit with the slow music.

    Meh.

    WoP arent horrible, but the mix on their CD is fucking terrible, and this live shit is terrible, and the video is fucking lame.

    I have to agree with Slice two, I think that they have a few decent songs, but I’m starting to get tired of their schizophrenic themes and strange videos. I am glad to hear that I wasn’t imagining it when I found some of the mixing on their CD really off. When it comes right down to it, really? 300 spliced with low quality live recording? They can do better than that…

    lol this isn’t even an official video, they won’t get sued. you might as well say every fan made video on youtube is going to be removed and everyone who uploaded those are going to get sued. not going to happen.

    anyway good live shots, but it doesn’t sound that great. the 300 footage synced up well a few times, but overall it could have been better.

    Im usually the ass that just has to support bands of hardcore inspired death, but if any band does embody the spirit of what people call “shity deathcore” i think it would be this band.

    The best thing that happened to this band is that pic of the keyboardists tits which i do still stare at on my comp from time to time.

    I believe this genre is called Medio-core if I’m not mistaken. I also believe they’re the leaders in the genre, carrying the torch so-to-speak.
