I wanted to like this album. Filthy Rot is good. We Lost You also. But it’s disappointing on the whole.

I would have preferred a Winds Of Plague style montage of clips from the actual films of Stanley Kubrick. That would have been fucking tits. As it is, Sepultura and everything they do sucks, so this is not a huge surprise.

Also, corpse, hippies equal teh suck.

slipknot was once good? WHAAAAAAA…. okay, truth be told, they were good right up until the release of the full-length All Hope Is Gone.

Sepultura is good, on occassion. Arthur C. Clarke is good, on occasion. But mostly, both entities are good, most of the time. Both make mistakes. I make mistakes. Metal makes mistakes (nu-metal, anyone?).

Actually, 2001 was the Kubrick movie based on the Clarke book.

agreed. that video is pretty much a bag of shit.

to be fair, i think the album’s not a total loss… Moloko Mesto is a solid track if i do say so. though in the spirit of full-disclosure, i was in a band several years ago that wrote kubrick-inspired songs, so i might be a bit biased.
